Just a few minutes ago on CNN.com, I saw the news about Whitney's sudden and shocking death. The cause of her death is currently unknown. While I was never a fan of her music, I could never deny that she was very talented and legendary. Many people believe it was drug-related, since she battled with drug abuse. Regardless, may she rest in peace. |

My father read an article about her death nearly thirty minutes ago. The cause of her death will be revealed at some point in the near future. I, too, was not a fan of her music, but I agree that she was talented singer. Rest in peace, Ms. Houston. |

"Its profits dropped so hard, EA freaking fired me. Those traitors freaking fired me! Is it because of the company's fallen stock? Can anyone please describe these? Dropped so hard; that stuff's Cray. Initially, it didn't phase me, but micro transact'd cost me my 8-to-2 (job)," John Riccitiello. |

She's the one who made me win a singing competition. Her songs are AWESOME! May you rest in peace, Ms. Houston. |

I wasn't a fan of her music either, but I certainly admired her voice. She sang like an angel. This is sad news; she was still so young and vibrant. |

Whitney had one of the best voices in the music business. She, Mariah Carey, and MJ were basically the artists I grew up listening to in the 90s. I feel horrible for her daughter and her mother. |

I just found out and omg this is terribly sad. Just what, yesterday or the day before there were images of her exiting a club bleeding quite a bit. I don't know what happened but this is tragic! |

This is so sad. :/ I wasn't a fan of most of her music but she was very talented. Out of all of the people, I never would have expected her to go. But I guess you never do. heh. RIP Whitney.<3 |

When my mother called me and told me she died I assumed she had lied or had some bad internet information. Whitney had a lovely voice and fortunately will live in her music |

Have you ever walked into a room & forgot why you went in there? What if God is playing The Sims & he just cancelled your action.

I am a longtime fan of Whitney Houston's music, she will be missed. They said on headline news that she was about to release a new movie. I wonder if it was finished or not, maybe it will be in theaters. I just pray for her mother and daughter and ex-husband at this time, they are suffering the most. An incredible talent is gone from us but will always be remembered. |

Its a sad loss. It really is. She had a very beautiful voice, and she was very talented. She will be dearly missed. I am going to pray for her family as well. They need all the support they can get. R.I.P Whitney Houston |

I read about it too and told my mom and she was like ''REALLY?!'' and my aunt found out about it on the morning show she watches. Whitney had an amazing voice and my favorite song was ''I'm Your Baby Tonight'' RIP Whitney. |

Exactly. I don't see why people are so focused on the drug problem(s), sex scandals, etc when a celebrity or person of interest dies, just let the dead rest in some kind of positive peace for Pete's sake. | |

It's kinda shocking to hear about the death of an artist you practically grew up with. I used to hear about her almost everyday and, suddenly, she died, just like Michael Jackson. I truly cannot say that I liked her music, but she had a beautiful voice and it's very sad, nonetheless. |
