Hello,
My problem is as follows...

The other day my game suddenly crashed. Now, I am not able to install any of the items that I have purchased from the Sims Store. I have lots of stuff that I have purchased. I can see it in the launcher under downloads but, when i click to install. it gives me an error message-that i need to update to the latest game software. I KNOW that my game is up to date with the latest patch.

I have spent hours chatting with tech support about this over the last few days. I am not someone who really knows alot about computers or anything. I have tried all the different troubleshooting ideas that were given to me. None of it was worked.

I am unsure what to do now. Please help me. I apologize if this has been answered before but, I didn't see anywhere in the fourms where it has.

Here is what I have been told to do to "fix" my problem...

Manually update to the most current version
Uninstall and ReInstall my base game-did this 3 times
Try to by pass installing at the launcher and do it during gameplay via the Downloads Dashboard-when I do this my Downloads Dashboard is empty.
Uninstall and ReInstall Origin
Download Revo Uninstaller and use that to Uninstall my Base Game plus my Exspansion Packs
Manually Download the latest version of Origin.

So, all the suggestions you were told to try didn't help?

Have you tested with new DCCache folder or even fresh Sims 3 folder as the above-linked FAQ suggests?

Ok, I did everything that was in the Game Problems link.
It still is not working. Is there anything else that I can do?

"Not working" how? I really hate that expression without some explanation...
Not working - as in not showing up in Launcher after a Done and Success message?
Not working - as in not showing up in game Catalog but does show up in Launcher?
Not working - as in shows up in both Launcher and game Catalog, but once place in the world, on a Lot, it is not working as intended. That is, the item do not have interactions, or stuff sinks into the slots or Sims walk through them as if they are not there?
In other words, please define your use of the phrase "not working".

You've reinstalled in a fresh DCCache, and Downloads folder with just one item to test with, or hundreds of Sims3Packs at one go?

In a brand new game (SunsetValley?) or a previous Save game, meaning your Saves folder is also not "fresh", ie not with a nicely blank, 100% vanilla Sims 3 folder or as some people call it a "factory reset"? This factory reset with installation of one item is the "everything that you have tried and is still not working"?
