Recolouring Bridges #1 |
| Monsoon |
Dear simmers! Do you have any idea how to recolour the suspension bridge? I know it is possible, because I've seen a red recolour of the steadfast bridge in Jericho. Thank you in advance! |

I've retired. But I'm still a pro at lurking.

Clone the bridge you want to recolour in S3OC without renumbering so that it overrides the original, open it in S3PE and export the IMG files to a folder, recolour them to your liking, and then open your world in S3PE and import the recoloured IMG's to it. The recolour will show up in that world, in both CAW and game. If you wish to make a clone and not replace the original, clone with renumbering, export the IMG's, recolour them, and import them back to the package, then put the package in your CC framework (both CAW and ingame). It will then show up as a choice in CAW so you can place it and the original both in same world. ETA You don't need to color all the IMG's if there are many - just the ones that clearly are color parts of the bridge. There may also be bumpmaps, speculars etc, and recolouring those may make the bridge appear wonky. Also, when importing the IMGs to the world file, tick "compress" and "use resource name". That way the file will stay relatively small, and you can later also find the files you added if you want to remove them. |

Also in Jericho I have the resources for download, so you could grab those and take a look at the files, too. ![]() For information, I never bother using S3OC to make a clone- I just grab the resources I need directly from the game files. They are easy to find as they are all labelled clearly. |
