Would you prefer to take a car to drive in different states or a plane to fly over different states?

I like a plane to take me from solid to liquid.

Polgannon Project Seriously, I'm still working on it.

Depends on the nature of the trip. Plane is fast and safe, but if you go by car you can visit different sites along the way.

I think it might be difficult to get to a state by car from here.

I enjoy the hovercraft, but private 747s work for me too, they're just not as fun....

Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.

Plane is much more vicarious because you can leap out of it into volcanoes, land on them at high speeds and roll inside, but then cars are better for sight seeing in a way. And it's controlled more by you too.

I like not driving and not flying as much as possible. As soon as I can I'd like a flying saucer though.

It depends if I've got time or if I need to get somewhere quickly. If I had plenty of time and money then car so I could sightsee.

In Australia =)
One of the Yr 11's went to Central Australia =)
They all went to Northern Territory and stayed for 2 weeks... It was like a 2 days drive....
But Victoria to Perth would be a 3 days drive but pretty dangerous because of wind gust..

Depends on a lot of things.

Some of my best childhood memories involve long road trips visiting lots of places.

But most of my absolute all time favorite childhood memories involve flying to FL to visit my grandparents and the rest of our family for Christmas and summer long vacations.

So I love both modes of travel really.

I do love a good car ride since I adore watching the countryside go by, as well as burying my nose in a good book. I really enjoy driving at night, too.

But flying is faster and sometimes is the only way to go if the distance is too far and time is limited. Plus I can sorta watch the country sail by below or bury my nose in a book.

Planes. I don't care if you can't visit other places along the way. The faster, the better.

Teleportation Pod. It's much safer than those ancient things you guys talking about. Come on, it's March 2012 already!

Hey there! :)

Planes scare me. It's just weird being up in the sky like that, and if even the smallest thing goes wrong, the chances of survival are very low.

I don't like long car trips, but they're much less scary.

I sometimes assert that the pogostick and Barbie car are the grandest method of travel.

I would prefer a plane If you were traveling through more than two states. For one state to another I would go car. A five hour drive is about the max for me.

Car trip would be too difficult,my family chooses plane.Even sometimes when we travel in our country, well it is not enjoyable to be on the road for over 10 hours except when we are traveling to southern.

I hate travelling by car, an hour drive is my limit.
My mother lives 800km away from me, it is less than an hour by plane. By car if you drive really fast it is seven hours.(my mother clocks it 6 hours)
Once my husband and I had a 16 hour trip because we were driving a 1973 Beetle, never again!

I would be more concerned about hitting animals crossing the road.
