so I'm new and I wanted some expertise help. I wanted to know how to make my furniture not follow the grid pattern, ie. not just go left, right, up, down, but let's say I want my chairs to go diagonal. Also, wanted to know if it was possible to center stuff instead of having to be on the grid squares (my rugs never are centered with my tables). Oh, and curved pathways, how do I do that. Am I asking too much? I've seen all this on some pics, just wanted to know where to find this stuff or how to do it

Most of what your looking to do involve using cheat codes.

http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...p:Sims_2_Cheats

This is the link to the list of cheats and they each have a description of what they do. For some things you need to use several in combination with others, for example those diagonal chairs will require using "snapobjectstogrid", "allow45degreeangleofrotation" and "moveObjects". From there it will be just trial and error for placement, be aware that objects placed off the grid or at odd angles are not always usable by Sims again this is trial and error.

For those curved pathways that was probably done using a terrain paint rather than floor tiles. You can check out the download section on this site there are some really nice ones located there.

Hope that helps you, as always it's a good idea to back up your game prior to downloading or trying experimental things.

Welcome to MTS! If you need any other help with cheats and stuff, go to the Help menu at the top of the page(unless your browser doesn't display it). It may have lots more helpful codes, and some tips on stuff like raising families, caring for babies and toddlers, running businesses and more. There's loads of neat mods here too - and if you have all of the expansion packs, definitely get the uber-megahood because it's so awesome!
