I'm having an issues with my monitor and resolution and colors.I have an Asus VH238 flat screen HD think its 29 inches?not sure its big though. The resolution goes up too 1900x1080.I have tried the Graphics Riles.SGR settings and it still looks odd.I have presets on the monitor for scenery, standard, theater ect..Before the reformat the Standard looked the best, but now it looks hazy and foggy. So I tried Scenery, but the contrast is just horrid and glaring.I have an ATI Sapphire 512 MB HD card 6550(?)sorry keep forgetting the numbers. I updated the drivers and all that fun stuff. But the color still look real bad.I have the resolution set too 1600x900 cause the Sims look normal height and length with it.but again its hazy and dull. Does anyone have any suggestions on how too make it look normal?Or know of a place I can go too see if I can fix the coloring and settings.I have tried pretty much everything at this point. Also I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM and a 3.35 possessor. This PC is 3 months old Hubby made it for me for xmas.He also tried too and he got frustrated and gave up. Thanks for any help..

Apart from toying with the settings both on the monitor, as well as your video card settings, there really isn't much to do. You may need to spend quite a bit of time tinkering with both to get the game to look just right, and then you might realize that while your game looks perfect, other things don't. Fickle things those visual settings are! I still play on a CRT monitor without HD anything. Plus you may need to adjust your position versus the location of the monitor, any light sources, etc. |

I wanna play my Sims all night, and play em everyday... <- Currently Simless. Have you ever noticed that the letters f, o, and r are next to the letters d, i, and e respectively. So if you're not careful whenever you are typing the word 'for' you run the risk of typing 'die' instead. |

Simkat- Make sure your ATI drivers are up to date and your game is patched up. Also I've seen artifacts/deletions of objects with ATI video cards of a certain age (Can't vouch for the new ATI cards) so the possibility of using a NVIDIA card may be a solution to look into. With my current NVIDIA GPU no artifact/stretching/video glitches anymore as to when I had an ATI GPU. I'm on an older PC running XP, so running WIN7 and it's issues are something I am not familiar with intimately. However trying to make sure everything is up to date should be a good place to start. |
