Soooo,I'm trying to get Bella Goth back using the SimPe. It's all fine and dandy up until the part where I am trying to access Neighborhoods/Memory(NGBH). I keep clicking it and I am suppose to be opening a packed file, and nothing happens???? Here is a link to the instuctions I was using:

Sooooo yuh, apologies if this is a total noob question and/or it's something I should already know as a regular person who frequents the usage of a computer. First time using SimPE

Choose NGBH in the left pane and select the one available record in the right pane. Then, choose your family and sim in the plugin view.

Sounds like the tutorial is using the term "packed file" to describe the right pane or the plugin view at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks! Unfortunately, my SimPE has decided to suddenly stop wanting to browse Neighborhoods!!! I can`t even use Neighborhood Browser anymore. I click it and it says something like `psj.FileTable`threw exception and now I can`t view any info on ANY of the neighborhoods!! Any help with this?

uhhh whats the left pane? LOL if you are talking about those different window sections i have the resource tree and pluginview open right now....

If you are using the default layout, then the left pane is labelled "Resource Tree" and the right pane is labelled "Resource List". The Plugin View is only one of the views available at the bottom of the screen.

Alright I am getting a BIT closer. Except now that I keep getting this message: "pjse.FileTable threw an exception" whatever that means. When I view the Plugin view, I can't see bella goth's name anywhere, just "Unknown" with mr potatoehead images. Posted some pics.

Then again, I might not be in the right section because there's no list I see anywhere of all the sims wants and fears etc. like the instructions say.

Sim Wants and Fears is a different record than Neighborhood Memories.

Which version of SimPE are you using? Is it an installed version, or a no-install version?

My suggestion is that you uninstall and reinstall SimPE. Your pictures are too small to see, but you shouldn't be getting an exception like that and it seems to be affecting what you are able to see in the plugin view. Specifically, you should be seeing your sim's names and faces instead of those generic "unknown" sims. It's going to be very difficult (if not impossible) to do what you need to do with the information that you currently have.

Uhhh I guess I have the installed version? xD It did all that installing stuff for me, no unzipping or whatever. I think I MIGHT be able to do though it says "Unknown" because there's a drop down menu that has the Goths and one of the is a Romance aspiration sim who has memories of falling in love and being abducted and having kids. I'm ASSUMING to delete the Token:Disease. Tell ya how it goes, I got everything backed up already anyways.

It randomly decided to stop doing that unknown bullshit and sooo I DELETED THE I AM DEAD TOKEN FROM BELLA GOTH. And I'm trying Skip Broke too. Though I kind of want to "follow" the story EA intended bUUUUUT it is my games

I am totally posting a video on Youtube and showing the process or at least changing the instructions on the Simsd Wikia as it wasn't specific enough!! I didn't knwo I needed the resource list open etc.

Uhhhh it still doesn't work I deleted the "I am Dead" Token on Bella Goth. I think I need to update :/

jokes, I know that you're frustrated but please don't post repeatedly. Instead you can edit your posts to add more information.

jokes4breakfest, I really wouldn't try to make changes with your existing version of SimPE. Something is clearly very wrong and you should get SimPE working properly before trying to make changes to a neighborhood that you care about.

Your videos also won't be of much help to someone who has a properly working SimPE. It makes a lot more sense to make the videos when you're got a working version running in a standard configuration.

If you are just using a standard Pleasantview that hasn't been played extensively, you could consider downloading a clean version of Pleasantview which has Bella properly resurrectable. I've been using Tarlia's clean version with resurrectable sims and it was incredibly easy to resurrect Bella and Skip.

I continue to believe that your best option is to uninstall SimPE and reinstall. If you continue to get the exception, I have some ideas of things to try.

Can I just verify the exact version number of your SimPE (Help / About) and your installed EPs and SPs? Are you using either Mansion and Garden or the Store Edition?

If you are running a version of SimPE that has an installer written, it's not the newest version. The newest version is the .73 on the front page. It might work better for you.

I have ALL the Sims EPS and SPs installed, and I believe Apartment life was AFTER mansion and garden stuff right? The one I was using was only supposed to work with Mansion and Garden stuff. Yeah, I installed the newest one, the 0.73 for "everyone" and now it doesn't seem to be cooperating now :/

I deleted the "I am Dead token" from Bella and Skip, but they still die and I can't use them (Prob because I was using the old SimPE) ughhhhhh grrr What am I to doooo?

I torrented the Mansion and Garden Stuff and Apartment Life.

http://sims.ambertation.de/ I am using the one with the upgrade patch for mansion and garden and I believe I had DL the Apartment Life one too.

Apartment Life was before Mansion and Garden Stuff. I don't know for certain if has any effect on your SimPE problem, but having a legit copy of the game would probably be in your best interest especially if you intend to get help here.
