Nettie, after drowning her husband, Samuel, decided to pick up the pieces of her life. She had been happily married with 3 beautiful girls, but when she said to Samuel no more he went mental wanting a son. After the ensuing argument and beating Nettie invited him on a picnic to uh.. make up, yeah... he made up for all that beating for sure.

Anyway Nettie is now stuck, with $50 in her pocket, a teenager, child and toddler she's had to bed down in the same park to make sure no-one finds the gravesite. It's their new home in the small park on the edge of town. For now she and the girls will have to make do with what little they have.

So far so good, well not really it's been very trying; it's been 12 sim days.

On the first day Nettie discovered she was pregnant (Yes I did that on purpose for an extra challenge). Nettie also managed to hook up a job in the military on the first day too (yay! No I did not cheat), Tania also decided to get a job, highest paying on the day, was as an adventurer. So yay for income.

Day 2, Nettie for some reason was on pregnancy leave and going to work? Something glitched? Anyway there but a chance card appeared and she got a small bonus! Used the income to build a small bathroom and buy a bathtub. Taught Wendy to walk and started on talking. Also had to hire a nanny for the time (9-1pm) when Wendy is left home alone

Day 3, Tania got a promotion, plus a small bonus. Nettie was able to afford a play table for Selena and Wendy. Selena made a friend. Nettie got a promotion too! Her promotion paid for some lighting and some shade (one of those patio covers). To prevent boredom there is a lot of socialising and paper reading, oh and paper planes around the place... it works... and helps the girls with their relationships (all positives in the 70's or higher so far!

Day 4, Tania hit aspirational failure (she's a romance sim like her dad). Found her a random walk by and got them to date, had a dream date and she's now much better. Wendy learnt to talk.

Day 5, early morning Nettie gave birth to another girl, Sammie. Oh noes! Nettie forgot about Wendy's birthday, quickly bought a cake with Tania's pay and aged up Wendy (in platinum from learning to talk). Selena and Wendy become fast friends, playing together a lot! Also bought a bookcase too, and skilled up Tania.

Day 6, Tania got another promotion! Yay for the bookcase, skills get places. Started work on a base for the house and was able to make a small room, moved all items in and the family now has a roof over their head. Plus there was enough money to buy a bunk bed for Selena and Wendy to share while Tania share's the double bed with Nettie. Bought a crib (already had a floor blanket from when Wendy was a toddler instead of a crib) for Sammie.

Day 7, Wooo Time for Sammie to become a toddler, all goes smoothly they have the funds for a cake, which just so happens to be dinner as well, having eaten out the fridge and having no funds to get more food. Nettie also got another promotion. Got rid of the original bathroom and patio covers (more money in the bank), bought food.

Day 8, Selena ages to Teenager, aspiration is Fortune. Got her a job in business we’ve been lucky with that paper! More money equals more house building, yes! Plus by building the house on stilts it prevents their ghostly father from scaring them at night time now. No more waking up or getting scared for them. Nettie is busy skilling up Sammie, who so far has learnt how to use the potty and talk.

The house currently:

Day 9, Selena got a promotion, Tania reached the highest promotion. Kaching Kaching ladies! The house is getting a addition. Another room is built on and divided into 3, the connecting wall to the older part is knocked down, and another bathroom! Oh what joy another bathroom, with a shower... yes! No more queues.. Oh ok, a bit of a queue still. Bought another bunk bed pair and separated the bedrooms. The bunks in 1 room for the children, and the double in the other room for Nettie. Sammie sleeps outside in the main room in the crib. Oh and enough money left over to buy a table and chairs, a violin, bin and put up cladding on the outside of the house.

Day 10, Tania found the love of her life (after a brief trip downtown), yup it's one of the Tricou clan's illegitimate children. The gothic boy. She's happy, he's happy, they are not allowed to woohoo though, no children until after Tania's become an adult and moved out. Selena is working on getting another promotion, but still takes time to play with Wendy. Sammie aged up to child yay! The crib and toddler blanket get sold for the extra cash. Nettie beings home friend from work, I consider letting her get more friendly but decide against it.

Day 11, Cash, Cash, Cash, Cash! Nettie, without having a chance for skilling, instead got a promotion with a chance card! wooo! The promotion money and girls income allow me to add another set of stairs a porch front and some windows, yes finally some windows! Oh and enough cash to green up the grass too! Everything is going along smoothly, the occasional fight over who gets to play the violin though. Nettie is looking for love though, so off to downtown for a love hunt. While it wasn't a complete failure, it wasn't a success either. Nettie at least gets a hug and kiss from a semi-decent looking townie.

Day 12, Wendy ages up to teenager, aspiration knowledge, she got a job at the local gas station to start with, so she can concentrate on studying. Wendy really wants to go to college, but feels the need to help out her Mum and sisters with the rent. Hopefully with the extra income we'll get the house finished faster, she reckons.

So far I'm happy with how it's turned out, at the beginning it was a little dicey with sleeping arrangements and toilet arrangements but it's turned out just fine. No one has passed out or piddled on the floor. It should be a breeze to the end of course. Next time I will be trying a different combination, I think it would be even more difficult without any teens at all. Although I do have a long way to go before I finish this challenge.

Here's the Timid family:

Hope you all enjoy the story/pics. Let me know also if you see anything I have done wrong in the challenge, more than happy to try again.

The Challenge Continued...

Day 13, Snow Day! second one in a row, man this family is having some good luck... todays income bought them a proper cement base and a ceiling. Oh and Tania went into the red aspirational again... took her out an she had another dream date with a random townie, ooh and she smooth talked up Tank Grunt, made his day for sure (especially after Ophelia left him for his brother and then left his brother for Johnny Smith). Oh, Wendy got a promotion on her first day! In other news Nettie was heading for aspirational failure too. So with the left over money purchased the find-a-mate crystal ball and invited over Avri Stratton. They are now happily in love and Avri accepted her proposal to move in... and OMG the MONIES!! $9000 big ones! yes! I'm decided what to do with that money.

Tania smooth talking up Tank Grunt

Day 14, Well seen as Avri has joined the clan I'm putting him to work, highest paying job in the newspaper today - Politics. Too bad Avri your dreams of being a General are no more! Best thing about getting that playtable for the children was building their mechanical skill set! Two broken toilets is an easy fix to Selena and Wendy, both girls were finished within an hour. Alright, free repairwork. Decided to take all the girls into town, bought them all cell phones. They made few new.. well Sammie met a whole heap of other children to friend. Wendy chatted with Melody Tinker and hopefully a friendship will bloom. Still haven't decided what to do with the mulah Avri brought in. I'm thinking maybe a second story with bedrooms and the first floor being half kitchen/dining half living room.

Day 15, Now that finances aren't too much of a worry Nettie has told the girls that she wants them to be happy and has encouraged them to find work that allows them to follow their dreams. Wendy is crushed when she finds out college isn't an option but bounces back, she doesn't need college to become an oceanographer reckons Avri. She's found herself a job in the field, and while it's grunt work her boss agrees with Avri so yay for her. Tania reckons better late then never and hits the streets until she finds a record store willing to hire her - Rock Goddess here she comes. Selena is happy with her job, promotion to the highest role! She wants to become a CEO and is well on her way. Sammie is happy just trying to find friends and live a relatively normal childhood, she's intrigued by her new father roll model Avri and wants to be friends with him. Avri is happy that the girls have all accepted him (postives for all of them) maybe this will be the family he's always dreamed of? He's still got a ways to go to be viewed as their father and is seriously considering adopting the girls. Nettie would quit her job but will continue on as the hours are easy and the promotions keep coming! No snow day today though. Gosh it's weird having an empty house! Not for long though, Nettie, Tania, Selena and Wendy will all be back at 1pm. Chance Card! Wendy got a promotion for averting a crises.

Day 16, Sammie has been persistant annd Avri also rolled the friend want with Sammie. They are now Friends! yay. Now Avri wants to be friends with Tania (which he gets) and Tania also got a promotion to Piano Tuner today. Oh and Tania fixed the broken bath. Oh dear Nettie got another promotion, errr, there's now over 11,000 in the kitty.. suppose I should get started on fixing up the place to look like a house. They all keep rolling the want for a car too... so I'll add a driveway and car me thinks.. Plus its a Saturday so Sammie is having all her new friends over for an all day playdate. Selena is chilling with her beau (Tybalt Cap!) and so is Tania (John Hiatt) both boys are in serious need of a makeover.. but that can wait for adulthood.
I've had it with this house, the front, well only door in was the cruncher when I had 10 sims trying to use it at once in one of their lets all go outside/inside moments.. tonight it gets a makeover. Oh dear seems like Avri got a promotion. So much munnies!!

The Challenge continued...

Day 17, BIG HINT HERE, if you want to demolish a large section of what you have built at a different point in time, demolish it part by part to get the money from selling it back. Save what you can (doors, lights, windows, things on walls and on parts of floor that is going) to reuse later in the build (saves money to spend on other things). Bought a fix me up car too, the girls spent all sunday working on it, then sold it for 5200! they bought a second hand car for themselves and spent some money fixing up the external house, PLUS there was enough left over to give the internal some colour and flooring! Tania aged into an Adult today. She decided to live-in and moved in her beau John. Kaching Kaching! $14,000 more to spend on fixing this place up!! Just peachy, because I have to make room for them to sleep.

Day 18, Gave John and Tania a make over. Tania won big time, John comes as a Restaurant Entrpreneur (once an adult). They'll have a sweet life once they move out.. if they move out. hmm plenty of money, so we'll fix up the kitchen, and more spare cash... break out a new toilet and some finishings for the 1st bathroom! Sammie became a teen today, aspiration popularity. I figured she was really good at making friends as a child, so I reckon she'll be little miss popular in her teen years. John is being accepted into the family. Avri is grateful for the other male, they pillow fight and play kicky bag a lot. Avri decides he and Nettie aren't getting any younger and pops the question. Nettie accepts, there's lots of little lovehearts flying around.

John and Tania

Day 19, Nettie discovers that she may be older but that doesn't prevent her completely from getting.. pregnant! Avri is thrilled that the will have at least 1 of their own (even though he was happy being a step-dad). They got married in front of all their daughters today. John bites the bullet and pops a surprise engagement over dinner out a restaurant that night, although Tania longs to have many lovers she accepts without a second thought. Gosh this family is getting big! After chatting with Nettie, Tania and John move out, to make room for the new baby in the crowded house and to start a family of their own. Sammie is spoilt and so far is jobless, but this is soon to change with a new one on the way and the loss of income from Tania and Josh. Oh and Avri brought home someone from work, who networked with him and handed over a wide screen tv as a sample.. wooo lounge room in the making, bought a couch and armchair and set up the lounge room.

The house now:
Level 1

Level 2

The Challenge continued...

Remember Sammie as a child? Holy heck she's smoking as a teen.

Day 20, Sammie has a job, woo more money, plus another friend. Good choice on popularity, it really suits her. Everything is going smoothly, Nettie and Avri both got promotions. So more money, changed the bedrooms around, the master is still the same. Tania's old room is now the girls shared room, no more bunk beds for them, they each get a nice new bed. The old shared room is turned into a nursery for the soon to be baby. Avri got demoted by a chance card, oh noes... not to worry at least it wasn't a complete firing. However plenty of money for some more windows and lighting. Oh and some skilling items to be able to get some more promotions!

Day 21, Nettie gives birth! To another baby girl, named Alice. Avri is happy, although personally a little more testosterone in the house wouldn't hurt (he misses John) he loves his little Alice. Her step sister's don't take too much notice, Selena is busy with her beau, school or work to have time to help out. Wendy's head is in the books when she isn't at work. Poor Sammie is feeling it though, from being the baby to being a "middle", Sammie is not impressed with her new sibling.. she fills the void by constantly making new friends, oh and getting a promotion today.

Meet Alice

Day 22, Well the girls could of fooled me, Selena changed Alice's diaper today and after a long day Wendy tucked Alice in... Sammie still refuses to believe the wrigley screamy thingie is any relation to her though. But Selena? who would of thought motherhood existed in that little money driven mind of yours! Look out Tybalt you might get stuck as a stay at home dad... Oh and speaking of other halves, Wendy bagged her a man - Mayhew Sartor - they had their first kiss today (an all this time she was never interested! Until Sammie introduced her to him that is). Sammie also got up close and personal, with a friend that tagged along with Mayhew, Beau Broke! Sammie be careful! Beau is a teen casanova, he's not interested in having a main squeeze, oh she's going to be broken hearted over him..

Wendy got caught!

So did Selena!

And here's Avri talking to his baby girl:

I do hope no-one minds this constant updating, if I'm doing something wrong please tell me.

Day 23, Oh dear, since Alice was born Nettie continually rolls the 10 children want! Not on my watch Nettie dearest! However Nettie is getting on in age, lucky she's got enough aspiration up, chug chug chug! Elixir of life for Nettie and Avri, now they're back to a younger age. More time to get money and fix up their house. Ohhhhh Alice's birthday! wooo she's growing up soo fast. Oh noes! Now Alice has aged both Avri and Nettie have rolled wants for another kid.. No not unless its by accident you two! But hey I'd want to another one, just look at Alice, so cute! <3 Oh and both Sammie and Avri got promotions. The Kitchen got a full on deck out including appliances, room decorations and lighting! One room down, lots more to finish...

Alice as a toddler, I think she's cute, I really hope she takes after her mothers beauty!

Day 24, Alice learnt to use the potty. Oh no! Selena's birthday! She becomes an adult, askes her sweetheart Tybalt to move in, he ages up, they both get makeovers, engaged, married (in a hurry) and move out all in 1 night! Leaving the family with a lovely bonus of $8124 to spend on the house. The master bedroom and second bathroom both got makeovers. Four rooms done now! Glad Selena moved out now, there's not enough room anyway for them on such a small block. Pity though Selena turned out classy, and smoking hot! Tybalt scrubbed up pretty nice as well.

Married in a hurry:

Selena as an adult: smoking as a classy business lady! She's going to be a CEO for sure.

Tybalt isn't too shabby either, glad that beard covers up his taught facial features.

I used HP's Sim, Pariah Corax,
http://www.modthesims.info/browse.p...gs=1&f=145&gs=1
not only because she's gorgeous, but she also has the perfect name! (I'm using the premise that they're refugees rather than victims of domestic violence...) I changed her eyes to a Maxis-style purple, which was handed down to her kids in CAS as well.
I'm playing this as a sub-challenge in my BaCC, so I can only post one week at a time.

Pariah and her three children: Ethan (teen), Cora (child) and Ynez (toddler).
Ethan and Cora walked to school that first day. BV and AL's ability of walking to lots and work/school are a huge help with challenges like this.
The rules don't say you have to use the cheapest items, but that's what I did with the exception of Ynez's canopied crib – I couldn't stand to have her sleeping totally exposed to the elements. I also blew their last $50 on surrounding the crib with the carpet divider from Pets. I don't know if she would've woken up the other sleepers, but I wasn't taking a chance.
They started out in the Summer and there two lightning storms which was quite concerning when they had no shelter.
Ynez occupied herself with puddles, the toilet and even gained enthusiasm in Nature trying to catch fireflies at night.

Pariah found a job in Education and got promoted twice, which gave them enough to make a cover with stilts and $1 carpet, which made a real difference in the feel of the lot. They also bought a bookcase and a couple of chairs.
Ethan got a job in Athletic, but got fired after three days due to poor grades for not attending school . Still, he contributed almost $300 which really helped.
This is the best challenge I've played in terms of financial hardship. It makes a big difference when you can't dig for treasure.

With each promotion their quality of life improved considerably. Cora looks so happy taking her first shower, and I don't blame her! And finally they were able to start building their house.
After Ynez's birthday, Ethan was able to go back to school on Friday.

Things continued to look up, and Ethan was getting a decent start on his LTW to woohoo 20 Sims.
Between Ethan and Pariah, they had two Rockin' Outings and two Dream Dates, but unfortunately no rewards.
Pariah was about to get her 3rd promotion in Education when she got fired on a chance card.

She immediately found a new position in Military, which is one of the best careers for starting pay.

With Pariah's second promotion, they expanded the house to move the kitchen indoors, and next week I'm going to try using annoainthere's tip to build the restorable car for extra money. Cora will be having her birthday at the beginning of the next week too - she might even get a cake!
And since there wasn't a close-up of the girls...

Points so far: 4 for promotions + 5 for Ynez having a good birthday = 9 total.

@lorinsv60: Wow that's awesome! I'm glad someone else is posting here too now! can't wait to see more.

The Timid/Stratton family continued:
Day 25, Alice learnt to talk today. The dining room and front garden got makeovers thanks to today's pays. The house is coming together faster than expected. Maybe I'll be finished before Sammie hits adulthood? Still a while to go, Wendy should be hitting adulthood soon. Oh and Nettie stayed home sick to look after Alice (nannies=useless). Tomorrow it's Avri's turn to stay home.

Day 26, CAUGHT! Turns out Sammie has a soft spot for Alice after all, she's finally come around from that screamie wrigly thing to oh she's cute now (or something like that I suspect). They played peek-a-boo when she thought I wasn't watching. Alice learnt to walk today (thank you Avri for staying home *ahem* "sick"). It's also Alice's Birthday! Yay she's a child. Oh and no thanks to ACR that little "accident" happened. Nettie is once again pregnant. Oh well I did state if it happened on accident she could keep it. Gosh the house is getting along quite nicely. Today's pay is being saved up for some more garden stuff. Nettie also made a new friend today.

Caught you Sammie!

Alice is now a child:

Day 27, Alice got taught how to study and she became friends with Sammie, see Sammie I knew you'd come around to her.. eventually. Sammie and Wendy are on tenderhooks though, they've been arguing a lot. Started finishing off the garden, but ran into the no money snag. Hello, Wendy my dear you're not going to college after all, I need your beau's income to help out! Wendy's birthday today. She's not too shabby, her beau Mayhew grew up too, and he's good too (with a makeover) annnnnd hellllooo $13,000 from the move in. Now to move them on out, not enough space to fit them into the house.

Wendy as an adult:

Her beau Mayhew:

Day 28, Well half that cash went into the gardens, and I must say it was a fine improvement! I also added the finishing touches to the dining room. So now there is only the lounge room, nursery, second bedroom and hallway to decorate. Yay! So much closer to the end now everyone!

The backyard at night:

And at the front:

Day 29, Early morning Nettie wakes up feeling weird, yup the baby is on it's way! Everyone meet baby... Karen! She has dad's red hair! So excited! Poor Avri, he's surrounded in a sea of estrogen.... No rooms updated today, awaiting on some more cash.

Meet Karen!

DISCLAIMER: THIS CHALLENGE ENTRY IS RATED PG-13 FOR VIOLENCE. (which was part of the challenge creators storyline.) If you are not atleast 13 years of age please do not continue reading. This challenge / story is not based on true people or true events. Just something I made up for fun / creative purposes while playing this challenge. Anyway enjoy!

Chapter 1- Abuse

My name is Amelia. I am 25 years old. This is me and my husband Brandon

We live in a beautiful house in a small town called Providence.

We have three gorgeous children. Kailey who's 5 and twins Shiloh and Sophia who are 3.

I bet your thinking I am going to tell you a story about how our lives are just perfect. How my husband is the most wonderful caring man in the world, and how my children are perfect, well behaved, little angels. Well if that's the story you want, your on the wrong page. I am going to tell you the truth in this story. Hopefully you can handle it.

The truth is I am pregnant again, only this time I am pregnant with three babies instead of just one.

The truth is that all three of my babies are miracles. During all of my pregnancies I was beaten to a point where I almost lost the babies . He always said he was sorry. He said he would never hurt me again. He lied, and I was just fool enough to believe him.

My children are terrified of their Daddy, and with good reason. No one in our house is exempt from his wrath. The truth is we all get beaten every day. Though he is smart enough to hit us in places that don't leave bruises.

The abuse has been going on all of their lives. It is all they have ever known. (This is Kailey protecting Sophia from their daddy when Kailey was 4 and Sophia was 2)

It was the night that he threatened to kill me and our daughters if the babies I am carrying are not all boys that I knew something had to be done. He has always wanted a son , more than anything else in this entire world, and my daughters are paying the price for me not being able to give him one.

Beaten, broken, and terrified for my life, and the lives of my children I KNEW that I had to find a way to escape. That evening I cooked him dinner as I always do, however this time I added a special little ingredient of my own.

A colorless, odorless, tasteless potion that would assure that he would never hurt me or my children ever again.

He ate never knowing that I was one step ahead of him. He never knew that he had infact lost this “game” that we have been playing for years. After all this time, after all of our pain, we had finally beaten him at his own game.

That night as he does every night he went for a swim , only this time something was wrong. His head began to feel woozy, and suddenly he couldn't breathe.

He started to sink down to the bottom of the pool and was dead within minutes. He couldn't move his arms , nor his legs and was quite aware of what was happening as he drowned.

Death came and towered over my husband looking through his magical book to see how this man had died. He shook his head slowly as he read of the amount of terror this man had suffered. Then he looked over to me and my children and read on further about the life that my husband had lead. Almost instantly his opinion of the matter had changed. After all 3 minutes of terror is quite a small price to pay when compared to everything we have suffered. He turned to us as he was takeing my husband away and spoke his words softly.

“Take care of them. You are finally free.”

The Timid/Stratton house continued:

Day 30, Money Money Money, lots of money, yay for jobs and promotions! Enough to renovate the living room. The TV is replaced by a piano, the floor is now carpeted and new wallpaper too. 6 days left until Sammie becomes an adult and the challenge is over, with only the bedroom and hallway left to remodel! Oh yeah I'm only playing the challenge until all the original children are adults, after that game over.. well I'll keep playing them but that's where the challenge ends.

Avri has other thoughts about Alice's piano playing:

Day 31, Sammie gets her last promotion today! yay small bonus, but not enough. Yay that Piano lesson this morning paid off, Alice brought in $200 from being the drummer in her school band and brings home a friend and pulls off an A! Also a Awesome day for Avri, getting a promotion and bringing home a friend too. Now there's some mooolah. hmm to hallway or to bedroom? Eh, it'll happen tomorrow me thinks. For now let's build up some friendships and celebrate today's bonuses.

Day 32, Hallway Makeover! No longer shall the upstairs hallway feel the wrath of toddler toys and miscelaneous bits and pieces. Now it can proudly call itself a Hallway. Although I wish Samuel (you know the dead father) would get out of the house! He's decided to spend tonight tormenting the family, Sammie first, then Nettie, Alice and Avri. What a *bleep*.

Scare Night:
Yes just scare Nettie you horrid man...

Look at his face! He's enjoying this soo much. *deletes expletives*

P.S. simsrsexy, wow! just amazing! Now I feel like I haven't done enough with mine! Each to their own though, but I can't wait to see more of yours and lorinsv60's stories. :D

Chapter 2- Homeless

The day my husband died was the day we became homeless. The house exploded in the shear happiness that he was dead. em... We moved out and have no clue what so ever what happened to the house when we left.

My husband left us with no money what so ever and after we buried his sorry self in the garden (the ultimate screw you as he hates flowers, gardening, and anything pleasant) we left the home and wandered the streets for hours, looking for somewhere safe to stay just until I can figure something else out. After five hours of walking (which is really strange as Providence isn't THAT big.) we came across an abandoned alley / that looked like it had once served as a store or a factory. There are walls, and although they have holes in them, it should provide enough shelter from the wind and rain, at least until I can get back up on my feet.

We slept in a pile, snuggled close on the floor. There were no beds, no sheets or blankets to keep us warm. We would have to go scavenging tomorrow and see what we can find.

The next morning I was up super early (baby 1 was kicking in the ribs, while baby 2 in the bladder). Little Sophia woke up and walked up to me with a sweet smile on her face.

“Good morning little Princess.” I told her. She walked closer and rubbed my tummy. She loves her baby sibblings already. Such a sweet girl.

“IT's TODAY IT's TODAY!” She shreiked happily.

“Of course it's today silly, what else would it be?” I asked.

“No Mama. IT's TODAY! The babies are coming today!” She started jumping up and down happily.

Thinking she was just being silly I gave her a hug and smiled down at her as she kissed my tummy, whispering softly.

“I have to go to school now sissy, but I’ll see you when I get home!” If only I had known just how right she was....

Just as little Sophia predicted, while the girls were off at school, while in the bathroom I noticed my back was aching much more then the typical i'm-pregnant-with-triplets-ache.

With a particularly bad cramp I was doubled over and out of breathe. The contractions were already about 4 minutes apart, and with my history of quick labors, (Kailey was born in 3 hours and the twins were born in 2). I knew I couldn't get to the hospital, even if I had enough money to pay the doctors. It was then that I felt the gush of liquid that meant my waters had broken, and the babies were coming , no matter if I am ready for them or not.

Terrified , and having no clue what to do, (after all even with an abusive husband I still had doctors for my other two births). I found the cleanest spot I could in the filthy alley and pushed. The babies were born quickly, about five minutes apart.

(The first baby to be born, Emmalyn)

(The second baby to be born, Amberlyn)

(The thrid baby to be born, a baby boy, Logan)

I was exhausted, and with good reason. I wanted, no I needed to pass out, the pain was still great, but I knew I couldn't, not yet. I checked on the triplets, washing them and dressing them in wee little outfits and blankets that I had knitted myself while I was still pregnant.

Minutes , but what felt like seconds, after the babies were dressed and safely laying in an old woven basket, I knew my body go shaky , and I collapsed onto the hard cold alley floor.

{{{ (She keeps going from short hair to long hair I know....GRR!.... For some reason she is having different hair for different outfits Don't want to have to redo the pictures though!) Maybe I will fix it for different chapters to come. }}}

Wow, this is the perfect challenge for one of my eight kids I don't know what to do with. But um what about those of us with seasons installed? I mean I guess I could change the weather pattern to all-spring when I'm playing this challenge but the social worker will take the children away if they get too hot or too cold :/

Honestly I'd say up to you whether or not you change the seasons.

However I'm playing with the seasons, so you should have enough time to build a shack to live in just on when winter hits... at least that's what happened for me - but I lucked out with a good career early on and a teenager. That made it easier.

Ah okay.

I've had my sim-children taken away before (she was in the shade!!!!) so I get nervous whenever the little tykes are not locked down between four walls :d

You can use hot chocolate and there is a heater unit in buy mode (under decorative objects) that both warm up Sims. Plus changing them into their winter clothes helps too. To keep them cool, keep them out of the sun and only let them do moderate exercise. I think to cool Sims down is to drink Lemonade - but don't trust me on that, cause I think there may be other ways...

I love watching my tykes play in puddles and chase butterflies, it's so cute! Just don't let them out in winter or autumn without their outside clothes on - because they'll get colder faster.

Drinking water cools them off, and there's a ratty drum-looking fireplace in Build Mode that'll warm them up in the winter.

I have this bit of custom content cloned from the bon fire to look like a campfire that is perfect for this. I am playing with Seasons but for some reason it started out in fall, so I am going to have to get my Sims to work quickly so they can prepare a home before winter time!

I am stuck b/c I cannot figure out what to do with my kids / babies while my sim is at work. No money for a nanny, etc. I was thinking of starting a home buissness just until they get to childhood, but then again what money would she use to start the buissness. : / stuck stuck stuck. Right now she has a job as an Aerobics instructor , and I was going to say that she took the kids to the Gym Daycare, (free daycare for employees), (Cause some gyms have nice daycare that mommies can take their kids to while they go and work out.) But I wasn't sure if that would be OK or not. Her eldest child, although about to age to be a teen (I really hate sims 2 age stages. There is no in between just toddler (with interactions like a 1 year old) child (with interactions like about a 5-6 year old) and teen. What happened to all of the years in between? So anyway Kailey cannot stay home with the babies because she still has to go to school.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I would probably go with the daycare idea.. but then again a home business is good too... Hang on... do you have a pond on the grounds? She can sell the fish she catches excepting in winter that is... hmm I see the dilemma. You could get a hack that allows you to leave the children on the lot while you work (should stop the social worker from taking the children away). Kailey could stay home with the babies, she'd miss school but that's what happens when life is tough. Tania (the eldest in mine) was constantly home from school until Selena aged up and I could rotate them. Of course it made it harder for their grades, and getting jobs, but it was worth it to not have to hire that nanny (and pay for her useless skills).

The other option is to get another sim in there fast to help take care of them.. Maybe the mother can befriend a local homeless person (aka Townie), get them to move in and take care of the children? It's not that bad a storyline idea either...
