Sunny from Girls' Generation.
I've been trying to make her for ages.
I decided to show it here before uploading it to see if it is worthy enough to be accepted.
I'd also like you to help me choose between the 3 hairstyles in the pictures.

I've made some changes. I changed her hair colour to brown, I gave her contacts to look more realistic, and I increased her jaw width.
Do you think that her jaw looks better in the previous pictures or the third last picture?

It would be nice to have some closer shots of her taken in-game and not in CAS, there is always a difference.
I think you have made a good start so far. You should try to make her nose a bit rounder looking and to move the nostrils a bit more outward. Than you could change the shape of the lips a bit. The part where both meet looks a way unnatural. The upper lip has this little corner which goes downwards. You should also make her mouth a bit smaller. I think that her eyes need more work. The inner part has an odd shape. You should move the inner corner of the eye a bit down and change the shape of the lower lid. It looks as she is squinting her eyes because of the sun. Her jaw could be a bit smaller...
I personally donīt like any of the hairstyles for her. It doesn't fit the type of asian celebs. You should try to find something really curly, maybe with some flowers or other accessories. You could also think about her clothing. I have to say that I have never heard about her and I donīt know her style as well as the music or whatever she is doing but I think she is more the girly-type with some pink dresses and a lot of laces, isnīt she? You should give her wardrobe some more lady-like touch I think. Well, correct me if I am wrong, maybe she isnīt the girl I thought...

I agree with Ginco on the photos, Also Please do remove all Make-up , Custom skintones (Temp remove from DL folder), custom Eyes and stuff like that. It makes it harder to give opinions on sims when those things are involved.

She looks like a good Start, about the clothing, (as Ginco said) Maybe you might want to try for something a bit more Girly. IMO It would be so cool to have one of the outfits match closely to something she wore in one of the videos. I know that Showtime has an Performer outfit that somewhat looks like the outfits they wore from the Genie video (there were three versions of that video).

Thanks for the feedback.
I've made changes, found suitable hairstyles, clothes, and made the changes that Gincgo had suggested. I was just about to upload the screenshots when my laptop decided to crash. I have to wait for it to be repaired, so It'll be a while untill I update.
Thanks levini for the suggestion, to be honest I had that idea as well. I made the genie outfit and and took the screenshots, and will be uploading them soon hopefully.

You may want to merge both of your post together, Just so you dont get in trouble for double posting. To be honest, A or B would look good. About her face, something about the shape marked me as not right, if you note a bit Sunny has a roundish face shape, maybe bringing the Chin up a smidge will help.

BTW May I ask where the Dress in B came from?

Ok. I've changed her face according to what you've suggested:

With make-up:

Without make-up:

The dress is from the sims 3 store.

I'm having problems with skintones. Whichever skintone I select, it always seem to have a greenish undertone. It wasn't like that before, does anyone know why its suddenly like that?

*edit: I'm starting to think she looks nothing like her.

thanks for the answer. I do not know about skintones, so that I cant help with. On another note, she does look less like the celeb, but she does look like a good sim.

As far as critique, I think you should focus first on getting her facial sculpt closer, and then you can move on to styling her.

Sometimes a hairstyle can change the look of a sim because of the hairline and the way the hair frames the face. Because of that reason, it's generally best to start with a hair pulled away from the face, like the high bun you have in your first post. I know her hairstyle pretty much always includes bangs, so, in this case you can probably still use a pulled back hair with bangs. (maybe a bun with bangs so we can at least see the jawline).

It's helpful to post your screenshot beside a reference of the celebrity (from roughly the same angle) with every post, so it's easier to see changes. You can use an image editor to re-size your cropped game screenshot and place it beside your reference(s).

Right now, I think your sim looks better without make-up, at least without that make-up you've selected. Is your game patched up to date? The greenish skin was something that went wrong with some of the earlier showtime patches, but that should be corrected if you have patched up to 1.33. If it's only in CAS, CAS has weird lighting that doesn't always truly represent the way your sim will look in game. You also should post in-game screenshots, because your sim will look different in-game.

Ok.
Here's the comparison pic:

(nothing looks right except her mouth maybe)

a pic for the jawline reference:

and in-game:

I think sunny has a smaller face, and a sharper chin.

And yes, it seems I need to update my game to the latest patch.

You can just leave out the CAS screenshot altogether, so next time you can place the in-game screenshot across from the reference instead.

Also, right now your sim is looking up in the in-game shot, the camera is slightly below her. Try to get a more level screenshot by using a pose/waiting for the sim to bring their face down and/or moving the camera slightly higher.

- Increase Lower Lip Thickness, Lower Lip Shape, and Lower Lip Width
- Increase Nasolabial Crease
- Decrease Chin Scale
- Decrease Chin Height
- Rotate her eyes a bit in the other direction, they're too downturned
- Increase Lip Shape (Hermi's slider if you have it) or alternatively Mouth Definition

It'll be easier to give more feedback after the screenshot fixes.

Thanks Ameena, I'll get on it right away. My only problem is how my sim looks in game. Whenever I increase the game quality, the quality of the sim in game doesn't change at all. Any help?

Ok, I've made the changes:

(I'm hoping I took the screenshot right. :D)

Also, no matter how much I adjust the Hermi slider, the effect just won't appear in game. :/

The sim looks pink compared to the model, but that may just be the photo lighting. I think the eyes need to be more level - bring the outer corners down and a bit closer together. If you can, bring the eyebrows and the eyes down a little to make the face more round. Possibly decrease the nose definition some more and/or move the nasal bridge so that is directly in between the eyes when you lower them. The top lip looks spot on, bottom lip needs to be more square/wider. Good work!

You have to put "sim detail" on high as well. Maybe max if I remember if it goes that high. Also, I don't know if this is because your sim's eyes seems to be pushed "out" but those eyelids should not be that high. Are you using an Asian skintone? This may work better for you.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I've made the changes suggested, as well as tweaked her nose a little, and I think she's starting to resemble her even more:

(And yes, that little part between the upper lip and lower lip is way too big, I'll have to fix that)

You already know to tone down the lip shape, so here are my other suggestions:

- Move the Lower Eye Apex slightly in the other direction
- Increase Lower Lip Width
- You might already be planning to fix this, but her skin tone is too pink and needs to have yellow undertones.
- Her nose looks too defined, especially in the tip which also might be too small. At least width-wise. It actually looks like you increased nose definition from the last update instead of decreasing it. Can we get profile shots too?

Have you considered trying a different skin tone? I love Ephemera, but I think M. Calero, LFB, Praline, and Evie have made skins better suited to Asian features.

I still think the outer eye corners are tilted up a little too much and the eyes are a bit too far apart. Otherwise, with the things posted above, she is looking much closer. Good work!

I have to second the change in the eyes and nose. The corners of her inner eyes should be leveled more (Sunny's inner eye corner is titled but they don't droop as low as that sims) and her nose tip is too defined. Widened it and decrease the definition of the tip as well. I always thought Sunny had a bit of a baby face, so maybe slightly just slightly puffier cheeks?

Update:

Her skin colour always had a yellowish undertone, but whenever I take the screenshot in game, it always appears pinkish. I even put tons of lights everywhere.

Profile:

(it's the only profile pic of Sunny that I could find)

The face is chubby, but like Sunny, when she's looking straight, her face doesn't really look chubby, but in a 3/4 view she looks more chubby.

Eye placement looks better but, I think, the inner eye corner needs to come down a little bit. The eyes are too level now. The nose definition is good; try making the nostrils just a little wider and the nasal bridge narrower and more indented. From the side view, it looks like the nasal bridge needs to be lower - about level with the top of the iris. The whole nose could be pulled out longer. If you can, try to smooth the jaw and/or widen the face/jaw a bit to make the face more round. Bottom lip a bit more full and square. Good work!

Ok, thanks for the suggestions.
Here's the update:

That's the most the bottom lip slider would go.

and the side:

(Is it me, or is she looking more like Hyohyeon?)

The eyes, lips, and face shape look much better. Good job! The nose looks too wide now and triangular in shape. Reduce the width of the nostrils, then, if you can, make it the same width - narrower - all the way up to between the eyes. The nasal bridge is only slightly narrower than the nose. From the side, the nasal bridge needs to either be more indented and/or moved up to between the eyes. I think, maybe, the eyes - after making the nose changes will need to be moved closer together.

Thanks alot, SimmyRN!
I haven't updated for awhile.

Here we go:

and:

If you noticed, Sunny's nose doesn't have any lines or shadows or whatever that mark the bridge of her nose, but the sim does, and no matter what skin I use, its the same with all of them. So I'm considering making blush that would re-texture her nose into something more like hers.
