SilverFox30 Original Poster Test Subject Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 52	I have to completely reinstall Sims 2. Does it make any difference what order I install the expansion packs. Assume I install Sims 2 first then in a different directory, install all of the expansion packs.

Most people find that the installation order doesn't matter. However, EA gives us the "correct" installation order:

Also, be sure to patch whenever you are prompted by the game to do so.

Note that you may have to install your Store Edition last and that EA has removed the Store Edition updates. To get an updated Store Edition, buy Fun with Pets and install it last.

You need different installation folders for the base game and each EP and SP.

THANKS. That is the order I installed them in. Don't have Glamour Stuff or Pets but otherwise have all. I thought all of the EPs and SPs could be in one folder but not the same as the Base Game. Whatever it is working fine and even better now that I have 4 gigs of RAM.
