I am absolutely frustrated that no one has made a or decent looking long hair for males. Not some super glam stuff..just normal dude hair that is like...shoulder length. Anyone know where to find any?

I've found a bunch in the Store stuff, but not too much in the third party CC realm of things. Well, I haven't been able to find anything that wouldn't look appropriate on one of those creepy Asian dolls, anyway.

Yeah, same. You've either got female hair ported for males which is either way to girly or really bad quality or the default tiny amount of male hair of decent length.

There really aren't many nice and normal looking male hairs in general... Seriously TS2 base game had more usable hairs and styles for dudes than all TS3 games combined. It had hairs of all lengths and styles, and also more styles for african-american hair. I don't get why EA is so damn scarce with male hair! Every time an EP comes out I first desperately check if there's any hairstyles for men... and if there are, I check if they are usable styles. : P

But all men love the got-my-head-stuck-in-a-candyfloss-machine look, don't they?

It is an interesting phenomenon, isn't it? I make female sims approximately 1 out of 10 times, and slogging through all the feminine CC gets tiring. I guess the fanbase is mostly female, and they want their simselves to have fancy hair and an endless closet?

I always thought the EA-haired guys stuck their heads in one of those spin-painting toys. Instant hairstyle and highlights!

In case you all have missed it many custom female hairs are also availble for males in CAS.
Though have to admit most of them look horrible on males..

My TS3 games are nothing like the '50s.

Actually, one thing that bothers me is the lack of '50s looking stuff, though the store does have them, I wish there were more. And I agree with the ts2 basegame thing, hair back then was "better". If I could, I'd do some serious converting. But since I'm CC illiterate, I just suck on my thumb and pray for the CC community to make stuff I like.

I play mostly male sims, and they usually all have long hair so I feel your pain. It is really tough to find anything that looks decent, because either it is too feminine, or too odd looking on the sim. I always look for hair with bangs because I really dislike the way the foreheads look in the sims. Iv'e found only a few in the many I've downloaded that I ever use.

The problem with male sims is a lot of stuff is developed for them as an afterthought. In many of the official packs, they rarely get new stuff, maybe a single unfinished hair. The hair also tends to be rather 'helmety'

Male sims definitely are like ken dolls. The majority of stuff available for sims is for barbie. Ken may only have a few outfits/

Just in case somebody might be interested, I have converted some Ambitions hairstyles and one sleek, middle-length hair for males.
But still, we need more tousled, layered casual middle length hairs. There aren't hairs like that for females either, so I can't even find good styles to convert for males... :/

I recommend those conversions - I never used those hairs on women, didn't think they looked good as a female hairstyle, but they do look really good on men!

I made a female-to-male conversion of the TS3 base game women's shoulder length straight bob, which looks good on men, here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/394121 . It's included in the download for the Monk's Hood - just keep the file called AMstraightshoulderhairAFconvert.package and delete the other file with the hood, if all you want is the hair.

Definitely agree that we need more decent manly hairs for men!!
