I can find the worlds that I installed myself, but I can't find the worlds that came with the base game or the eps. I know where they should be on a PC, but even with the finder, I can't find them on the Mac.

They should be in Applications > The Sims 3 > The Sims 3.app > Contents > Resources > transgaming > c_drive > Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 [EP Name] > Gamedata> Shared> NonPackaged> Worlds.

You need to Ctrl-click> Show package contents on the application to navigate to that.
