i installed almost 4GB of sims3packs with launcher(with 200MB limit for each installation) and i don't want to repeat that process again, which files in which folders needs to be backed up? the backup guide said it's DCCache, but another help guide said DCBackup contains every CC that i installed

Both guides are correct, DCCache contains installed sims3pack, while DCBackup contains the installed stuff in .package format and is simply a backup of DCCache, which main purpose is to add stuff to sims3packs, for example if you build a house and use stuff that is installed, it will use the item from DCBackup to add to sims3pack when exporting as that (this is the way stuff can sneak into exported files).
I always delete every thing in DCBackup as it's just a backup folder which serve mainly the above purpose

For own backup purpose it's DCCache that should be copied to another location.

Do remember that if you delete or don't backup DCBackup, if you ever upload lots or sims which use sims3pack CC, downloaders will have to get that CC separately - it won't be included with the lot or sim.

There's a file ccmerged in DCBackup. Make a backup of that as well. It's important for Premium Content from the Store.

To put it plain & simple if never ever plan on sharing stuff with any one files in DCBackup is not needed and is just waste of diskspace, not quite sure about the ccmerged, i don't use the ingame store so deleting the file cause no issues for me, in fact game is blocked in my firewall so it can't access internet.
As long as items is not uninstalled from game, one will not have any problem with sims3pack cc on sims/lots if exporting for own use.

It may be that ccmerged is also used for Store stuff you've downloaded normally (through the Launcher) and not just via the in-game Store - I don't know.

ccmerged contains the moodlets and skills for the new premium objects. If you don't have any premium store content you probably won't need it but if you bought them, you need the file.

People on the ea forums are also saying that they have less trouble with self-unisntalling Store content when the leave the DCBackup files alone but I do agree, it's a waste of space and unless someone can definitely prove to me, that removing the files in DCBackup indeed has an negative effect, I still stand on saying, it's ok to delete those.
