A quick test and analysis of a blank neighborhood revealed today this list. Teens and above can be killed by anyone anytime. Children can be killed by Rodney's Death Creator (and I assume, by fire in normal game play) with a minimum of difficulty. it skips past the social worker - girl isn't even aware I'm killing children. Toddlers don't normally die, but Rodney's Death Creator will make toddlers into ghosts without problem. Only the poor ghosts never learned to walk. The big question I had today was babies. After exploiting miss baby mama with her mohawk wearing dumb stud, twins were ready for testing. More seemed un-neccessary. Babies cannot be killed by any means. Rodney's Death Creator has no options, it won't touch babies. They can't be starved to death, nor burnt in a fire. Thus; no ghost babies. Does your data prove ghost babies? What is your experience? |

I know babies can be eaten with the OMGWTFBBQ, but I have no idea if a tombstone appears. |

I briefly tried the OMGWTFBBQ once, but I don't recall the result. It seems that's the only way a baby can be destroyed, if not died. |

I think I recall reading somewhere that babies are more objects than sims so maybe that's why they can't die? Chances are good that I'm wrong, but I thought I'd throw that suggestion out there anyway. |

For Science: using the OMGWTFBBQ doesn't result in tombstones. It also doesn't result in a death memory. |

Thanks for the ideas and knowledge. I tested different age groups for a haunted story. I thought of making an orphanage or hospital on residential lot, so "ghost hunters" can move in and observe the place. Toddler death works : They cause no game error. Fire ( they slowly fade away) Starvation Drowning Old Age ( very interesting animation ) Electrocution Disease ( they fall asleep ) Toddler death does not work. They cause error, disappearance of todder. Flies Satellite Fright In the disapperance, I made the exit and re-enter process after disappearnce. The toddlers did not re-appear. Grim Reaper disappears from lot, and no tombstones are made. no memory of death for adult sims. Sorry, I could not test elevator or cow-plant. |

I think children can die naturally from fire, disease, and maybe fright. Electrocution and flies also makes some sense, but I think the social worker comes for them before they can die in the pool. |

Simblr. I'm also on GoS. I go on here for the community, not really for the downloading. Just being honest. |

Huh, thats odd. You'd think that the decreasing hunger motive in the pool would get them taken away... Blerg now I want to try and see how many ways sim children can die naturally. |

Most sims who die in the pool do so by exhaustion (sleepiness), not hunger - thus the social worker isn't interested in a sleepy child who's having tons of fun. |

In my tests, I've used Rodney's Death Creator , since natural deaths are so infrequent and it's near to impossible for the game to kill a toddler.I use NL and OFB packs only. Has anyone else tested death methods? |

I found this video of what happens when you make a toddler die of old age: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n3XrNS7_Uw Hula zombies everywhere. EVERYWHERE. |

I'm not sure it's even possible to kill a toddler naturally. They're fire poof, they can't get in pools, they can't get sick, I've never seen one scared by a ghost, they can't watch clouds... Maybe if they're outside when it's storming? |

for those who like to know if a toddler-sim can die naturally, yes they can. just let them go outside when there is lightning and/or hail you see grim visit soon after it hits them. and here are a few interesting reads about the subject of sim death http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Types_of_death how a sim can die not saying all sims do all types http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Death#The_Sims_2 about sim deaths in general http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Death#The_Sims_2_2 on the same pages what sim can die how for 2 types of death you actually need to have the item installed - the murphy bed - part apartmentlife - running with scissors play-set - from the sims 2 exchange a murphy bed kill can take weeks in real time to get done I mean it I have one house with one of those beds I can't seem to get it to kill the one sim I have placed there to die by it. she is at -95% all the time on all motives, and still the 5% chance of a kill keeps her alive |

I assure you, no real toddlers, hamsters, chickens, dogs, or cats were harmed in testing the sims 2 deaths. Now that said, I have seen toddlers ghosts before, and they exist. But the funny thing, my test lot hat NINE tombstones on it, but I saw no toddler ghosts. I waited a week, until old lady Crumplebottom showed up repeatedly. I thought it might damage my game, so I deleted that nhood fast. I'lll create another for more tests. |
