Hello Everyone! I came here to ask you for help.
I will be a specific cause I've been trying and looking everywhere for a solution but I haven't found any.

My problem is this:
(it is in spanish cause it's my mother language, but it is the basic "welcome message")

http://www.iimmgg.com/image/08c27b5...720d5eca96aa237

So, My laptop is new, my dad just recently bought it and it has all the requirements, everything it needs to run the game fast and properly, I installed the game by the first time in German (cause I know German and I wanted to try) then I uninstalled cause I didn't like it lol and I reinstalled again in my mother language. I installed all the expansion packs I have and then I installed the custom content, (I know I did it in the right way cause I have done this several times before) but after I did it, the game looked like the pic I posted (streets, grass textures with a white background and red sky). Everything runs fine, but it looks weird. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it several times and nothing seems to work, everything runs fine until I decide to install the custom content.

I don't know what to do, I've tried everything I've found on the internet but nothing seems to work or there aren't many information about that specific issue. I'd appreciate it if someone helps me, cause I'm desperate.

The first thing that leaps to mind whenever somebody says "the game looks all wrong" is a problem with the graphics card. You say it has everything you need to run the game, but people have been wrong about that before. What video card are you using?

You say it doesn't happen until you install the CC. Have you tried installing the CC a bit at a time and testing after each? For instance, you might install all your downloaded clothes, and run the game, and if nothing happens you know it's not the fault of the clothes. If you then install all your downloaded objects, and everything looks wrong, you can clothes the game, take out half the objects, and run the game again. If the game still looks wrong, take out some more; if it suddenly looks right again, you know that somewhere in the half you took out lurks your problem. Then it's a matter of putting back the things you took out, a little at a time, until you locate the culprit. It's tedious, but if the problem is something you downloaded, it always works.

All you can do is the best you can do.

thank you for the answer! Yes, I started thinking the problem was some of the CC, I didn't mind and I deleted everything I downloaded. Then I downloaded just one outfit, installed and everything happened again I even thought.."okay, it seems like I won't solve it, I'll have to get used to play with any CC" but after some time I get bored cause I'm so used to play with CC, I have been playing sims since 2005 and I've been installed the game in different computers but this is the first time it happens to me, I don't think it's the graphic card cause I installed it in german first with all my CC and everything and it run perfectly. It all happened after I unistalled and reinstalled again with my mother language.

the graphic card I'm using is: nvidia quadro 256 FX 1600 M

Okay, that's just - freaky. The language shouldn't have a thing to do with how your game appears.

You also shouldn't have to uninstall and reinstall to change the language - it's just a matter of clicking a box in your regedit files. That process is explained here:
http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...e_Game_Language. Try changing it back to Spanish. If that doesn't change anything, your second installation may be bad and in that case another uninstall/reinstall may be in order. But a bad installation should show up before you add the CC...

Gee I hope some of the actual computer geeks on here come along soon, because this makes no sense.

All you can do is the best you can do.

yes, I didn't know it was possible to change the language without uninstalling, but I did it. and after I did it, I found out that article (very silly of me) and yes, thank you so much for your attention anyway, I'll continue looking for the answer cause yes this is very freaky, I'm starting to think that my CD is the problem, it might be damaged or something (I wish not) cause I can't seem to find the answer, thank you anyway :D
