But the REAL WTF one for me was...

Were they when they thought of these recipes?

Nobody ever accused EA of being overly creative! They did at least substitute hot dogs for Tofu Dogs!

But, how in the HELL would you make a Vegetarian Fish or Steak recipe?

Texturized vegetable protein or similar alternatives.

Quorn do vegetarian Fish and steak alternatives, and they are very yummy. (Yes I am a vegetarian). They should have asked Quorn to sponsor them so more money could have been spent on play testing.

After fishing up goldfish my sim rolled the wish to cook and eat them. Also to put them in a fishbowl, apparently couldn't make up her mind to eat or keep. I ignored the wishes and used them to fertilze the garden, or so I thought.

My sim ate goldfish sushi oO

No doubt it isn't new to most players, butI think that's the most weird food I've encountered in game.

Yeah, I have to admit that Texturized Vegetable Protein with a sidedish of Similar Alternatives doesn't make a good recipe name.

Yeah, just about to write that. I'm also veg and Quorn has salmon, tuna and turkey alternatives which are pretty tasty though probably not that all close to the real thing (it's been a while though for me so maybe they do and I've just forgotten!). So I didn't think it was weird at all when I saw it. "Tofu dog", I did think was weird though as I'd never had or heard of one.

I don't think Quorn is in the US but it's well known here in the UK. I appreciate EA not just giving us veggies salads to eat. I hate it when people think all I eat is salad. I hate salad!

Maybe they could add a nut roast in the future as well, yum, yum.

Most of my vegetarian sims have their favourite foods as meat dishes :S "What would you like for dinner?" "Well I'm a vegetarian but, oh go on then, steak."
