Here is what I know:

The character file exists and is of normal size but apparently has "no character file". She still works as a nanny and can develop new relationships. Past relationships still exist (familial and acquaintances). Memories are still present. Thumbnail is present. Clothes and DNA still exist.

There are no wants or fears (maybe there are but I can't open them in Simpe). She has no body or skeleton so when she opens the car door she's invisible or when she's using the violin it rocks on the floor. I can't select her.

I have no idea when it happened and she appeared normally after I did Alt sims surgery on her. My last backup has the same problem. I'm still learning so I've probably done something I shouldn't have along the way.

I locked her in a room to kill her off and after a few sim days she went silent but the grim reaper didn't come.

I'm guessing I should try the deletion method but thought I'd better get a second opinion first. Do you think the whole neighbourhood doomed?

ETA: It's official. She is dead but wasn't granted an urn. Perhaps the room was too small (2x2) or not having a body made the grim reaper not appear. I remembered I had a backup from 30 days ago which had same problem with that file. No other oddities have been noted in that time. No missing memories, no squiggles, no missing or out of character wants. Maybe the character file had an error. She does have a character file and I can see her personality traits, skills, as well as relationships, memory and thumbnail. If sims remember or gossip about her she does exist right? Is it possible I could move the family out and leave the lot to ruin?
