Still New and relevant after years of playing :0) #1 |

Hi guys, Just came to share some Sims 2 stuff that went on today with the only people who would understand my happiness about it. After, Years of playing this game I found out today that you could dummy level a Highrise in Apartment life and still have it operational! I made an apartment building, and I always use to just extend the amount of levels (to about 10) using the highestlevel allowed cheat. But that always made a buttlode of empty apartments and epic loading times. But for some reason I felt adventurous today and use the CFE cheat to stretch the third floor up into the sky. The result is functional apartments on levels 1, 2, 4 and 5. The Sim that gets level 5 will have a Penthouse like a BOSS!!!! I've tested it out it works awesome. The only draw back is no stairs but my sims use the elevator anyways and if you put windows on that level it will looks odd. I got around this using wall paper so it looks like it has windows on that floor . I used Nummerators No-Cut away walls for the third floor and on some of detailing, so it has the feel of the highrises in sims 3. Thank you sir for your awesomeness. It's not the best looking apartment building I've made, but it still came out pretty Cool. So for all my builders who didn't know you could, now you do.

I feel your Happiness I do not have the Apartment Ep but even I after years of playing Sims 2 since 2006 I am finding out things that I never knew I could do, or things that my Sims could do. For example I sent one of my Sims ice skating ( he already had good body skills ) I was so surprise when I saw my sims skate like a professional ice skater, with all the jumping and spins. Then just last week I have a family of five two teenager ( boys ) the whole family is very creative the mother love the piano the father love to play the bass guitar, the son love to play the rock guitar the other son love to play the drums. One day I put all the instruments in the basement part of the house and sent them all down there to play music together. To my surprise they all was in beat with the same song, if one sims started playing first the next sims would wait and pause and listen to the beat and then jump in. It was a family affair band I was so surprise. But then again this may be a part of University expansion add on, that I have in my game and hate to play but force myself because of my teens. There is always things we all continue to find out that one reason, why I can never give up my Sims 2.

I really like your dummy levels and towers. While I don't have AL , I can create a mostly empty tower for that penthouse restaurant I've always wanted to build. I want to see how much of the neighborhood they can see from the top. That would be a mostly new experience to me. Rarely in the years have my sims needed a tower. Now they can have one. Another new thing for me. It's just odd quirks and decisions that create the need. Last year, I created a robot family for the first time. Now, I have a robot staffed restaurant, once in six years. Another new decision. I have nightlife since it was new, but now I have my first vampire themed neighborhood. first in five years. |

That's Great. I Went monster crazy as soon as I got the new eps so I beat that horse dead. lol. I'm always looking for new stuff in my game and have always seem to find it. I still think this is the best edition of the sims family (Sims 2). I have the others but always come back to 2. |

Also, the key to it working properly is elevator and shaft placement, meaning the dummy floors still need a shaft in it so don't forget ;0) I'm glad the info was useful for someone. |
