I haven't been back to check on the thread that I had created to see if there were any new replies. had to look for it in my posts via my username and the post didn't have the ability, any longer, to reply to it. My issue hasn't been solved as of yet and because of that I had not played it for a time. The info below is still the same info for my computer. The only thing that has changed is that I removed the Pets expansion and the game still loads slow. This all seemed to occur not after I installed The Pets but after I installed the latest patch, which according to what comes up when I check on the latest patch, it says: 1.33.2.015001 I went to this site which was suggested: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Overwatch to download that but there is not a version for the patch version I have. Quote:
How do I remove that latest patch that I have? Would installing an older patch do the trick? It's too the point that its so frustrating that I don't want to play this game any longer. Quote:

You just need that first link there - the version for 1.31-1.33 (works with 1.31, 1.32, or 1.33 as there was very little changed between 1.31 and 1.33). You have 1.33 (the bit after that doesn't matter all that much, and doesn't matter at all as far as mod compatibility goes). As lag issues are not typical of 1.33, it's likely resolvable in some way - whether by Overwatch or some other method. I would continue with the troubleshooting rather than looking to roll back to a previous patch; in order to do so, you'd have to uninstall and reinstall, as there's no way to remove a patch otherwise. With the graphics card you have, you're probably not going to get great performance out of it, especially as you add on more and more stuff, but if you had an improvement removing user files, then, as white said in your previous thread, maybe Overwatch can help. |

I know, I know.... late response, RL does that sometimes. I finally downloaded the Overwatch Mod and after a few times of my game crashing and taking it out and putting it in to crash again... I realized that I had another version of that mod. (Why yes, I do have blonde hair... why do you ask? *smiles*) I took both versions out, put the "62" version in which is for my patch (which I also updated again tonight, reluctantly--that's another long story). After putting the latest version of the Overwatch Mod in, my game was still slow and some of my CC is not showing up. So I tried to look at some of the other individual's problems to see if theirs were anything like mine which is something I do sometimes; hoping that the fix is there to save putting another post in here. In one of those posts, someone mentioned that their game ran smoother when they were not connected to the "online" option: something I only noticed after one of the updates and only saw a change in the extra objects you could by with RL cash or Sims cash. So I have unchecked all of those options, since I wil never buy something with Sims cash that I do not have, I will never chat with anyone while playing this game.... and so far, unless it's my imagination, my game DOES seem a bit smoother or faster, or less laggy. Now my next step will be to get that CC to show up. (found the answer to my newly black skinned sim who had previously been normal--missing SKIN) |
