From MATY. A new patch is being released in conjunction with KPST.

Certainly hope it fixes more than it breaks...more importantly, hope it doesn't add any unwanted KP crap to my game like a chocolate freezer bunny pattern or something equally nauseating.

Oh great another fucked up patch. Just what we needed.

This is bullshit. I'm so tired of patching I don't know what to do. Are they doing this on purpose? I'm sick and tired of having to update every freaking month! If I could strangle EA, I would.

Until Nraas updates. I am not going to down load the patch. Freaking Ea and its patch crazed Bull.. I was expecting a new patch with the next EP Not with a bull SP that no one seems to like. That very few are going to buy. Leave it to Ea to make an SP memorable not just for the stupidity of the concept, but for a patch that is no doubt going to bork more than it fixes.

Your updating for the new SP, so it can work. While you may not like the SP, someone's going to get it, so everyone must get the patch. Patches, also, aren't required, so you can for a while without patching, and be just fine.

They've been doing a better job at patch then they have when the game was released - THAT was a patch every month, if not every few weeks.

No way I'm touching this with a 10 foot pole... at least until we all see the list of broken things this patch will bring. I won't be getting KPST crap SP so I can wait. And as someone's already said - when Twallan updates all his mods... which will probably be a day or 2 later

I don't plan on patching until I'm forced to by the next EP. Everything since 1.29 has seemed like more trouble than its worth.

I don't understand. People complain when the game is broken, and people complain when patches are coming out to in theory fix what's broken... EA's not doing a great job, but anymore I feel like no matter what they do people won't like it.

We complain because the patches never fix anything, borked games, mods not working. It's aggravating. If there patches actually did what they said they did, I don't think people would complain. I for one am NOT patching for as long as I can.

Positive thinking is not gratifying when it comes to EA which is why we like to complain.

The only reason people complain is that in the past patches have been known to break more than they fix. Then, a multitude of mods, generally, need to be updated for use with the patch.

If the first part wasn't an actuality then most people would be pretty complaisant about the second part.

Of course what would really be ideal is if EA didn't release broken addons to start with but we know that won't happen.

Just, the way everybody goes about it it seems less like "this patch is just going to break more stuff" and more "oh my god a PATCH? How DARE they!" I do get that the patches are typically ineffective, though.

A lot of you are tech savvy.....but what about us old folks? You know....the ones with both time AND money, who adore the game and its quirkiness, but are NOT tech savvy??

I have been lurking on this site for years now, with both this account and a previous one I lost the password for, and I say this....I will NOT patch, until I see the 'bigwigs' HERE *particularly Twallan and Hysterical Paroxysm* start to update their mods. It has been my experience that it's better to just wait, because the awesome modders here at MTS almost always explain their updates and what they fix. I do not expect EA to be forthright in their explanations. I don't even USE mods....and I still will wait. I just don't have the patience I used to have, back during TS and TS2.

Oh well, time to expect updates from the usual suspects and hope something doesn't go pear-shaped again...

But, I don't have high hopes. Specially since this was sent forth alongside KPST...

I have no witty comments to mention here.

What exactly would they need to patch anyways? I can understand patching for EPs because they make changes to the gameplay, but patching for a stuff pack seems about as useful as patching for custom content or stuff you bought from The Store.

I sometimes feel lucky not playing this game, just building ... but I'm sick'n tired of patches too. All the stuff I have to get take out to be on the safe side. Now I have started up CAW again too, so suddenly I have to focus on if a new update works.
