this is just a quick question, but my certain lots on my game really lag, so that it take ten or so real seconds for one sim minute. I have cleaned out my cc recently, and I am 92% sure there aren't any problems. So where do I start? Is it a problem with my system (I have a macbook, and am running tiger) or cc, or just that my lots are two big? And then, what should I do?

Try running smaller lots?
Try running smaller families (those with less members)?
Try patching your game (if you didn't/if you can - Macs are not very familiar with me)?

First, reading the game problem FAQ isn't the solution. Following the game problem FAQ may be. At the very least, let us know what happens when you try lots from the shipped neighborhoods in a no-CC newly generated save game. You should also make sure that you are fully patched.

You should also provide us with your system specs:

That graphics chip is grossly underpowered, and playing Sims 2 with it is simply not recommended. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-...950.2177.0.html

okay, so I've sort of gotten rid of this problem. This is a weird one. When I tested without cc, things got messed up, since all the objects changed to defaults, and anyways, I was moving a bunch of stuff around with moveobjects. After this, my sims kept walking u to this diagonal wall and screaming at it, so I decided to see what was going on. I could tell if anything was amiss, but them I used moveobjects, and it turned out there was a bowl of cereal there. As soon as I moved the cereal, everything went back to normal.

Thank you everyone for your help, and I'll definitely look into the graphics card stuff you said, Darby
