This is a duplicate account. Before you ban me for doing this, please read:

I had an account previously and downloaded many wonderful things. One day I tried to sign into your site and forgot my password. I attempted to reset the password, but was told that I couldn't do it on the site due to "security issues" with my account. An option to request an e-mail reset was offered, and I clicked on that, receiving a message that instructions had been sent to my e-mail address. I waited for it to show up in my e-mail. It did not. I have since tried to reset via e-mail FIVE TIMES, but despite the screen telling me that an e-mail has been sent to my account, I have never received one. (And I'm not just going right to my e-mail and seeing nothing; I've waited weeks to see if something shows up, and it doesn't; I also check the spam folder every day and it never shows up there either.) Unfortunately, there is no way to contact anyone at this site without posting on a forum, and of course, you can't post onto a forum unless you can sign in (which, of course, I couldn't). So my only way to continue to use this site was to create a duplicate account (for which I had to actually create an all-new Gmail account, because your site won't accept any duplicate account with my actual e-mail address -- it knows my e-mail address well enough to bounce me from creating a second account but apparently not well enough to actually send me the e-mail that it says it's going to send).

So now I can get in, but please be aware of how very frustrated some of your users might become in similar situations, and many of them might never return. I seriously contemplated that myself. Also, please do not ban me for having this duplicate account after all the trouble I had to go to in creating it and returning to the site. And honestly, it's a real compliment to the site that I actually took the trouble to do all this in order to continue to be a part of it. So you got that going for you, which is nice.

I'm sorry you had issues with getting the account reset - occasionally we do get situations whereby the email server doesn't work properly when sending emails (for a variety of reasons - most of them technical). I'm glad you finally made a new account though. About the only thing I can do is to try and look at the mail logs and see what happened with sending the email.
