LOL yes. The portion of sleep that you apparently don't have seems to have been given to me instead because eight hours just isn't enough!

As for no electricity, I think I'd huddle in a ball and whimper chanting NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET NO INTERNET.

ALL WORK AND NO INTERNET MAKES BH A DULL GIRL.

Also this, but at the computer.

And STD is the best story name ever.

Although that being said, I'm not embarrassed by that one, even if it did basically amount to an early, low-tech example of trolling. I still think one line in that story ("His afro was a raging fireball and his flares were aflame," describing a disco zombie on fire) was actually quite witty for a 10-year-old...

That. Is. BRILLIANT!
Please publish the cursed 1970's disco ball story. I need to read it.

I had a wild imagination, but couldn't write to save my life. So, nothing worth publishing.
I did write a story about my doll coming to life when I was about 7/8. It was imaginatively called 'The day when Rosie came to life.' (the doll was called Rosie.)
It involved adventures such as stealing the barbie car and crashing it into the pond, where she made friends with a fish who saved her life. Then she ran herself a bath to clean the pondwater off, but got stuck so had to get the bubble bath bottle to help (if anyone used 'Matey' as a child, they'll understand). I think it ended with her cuddling back up in bed with me, and we waking up wondering why she was so wet.

...That's actually really weird...
Doll coming to life, perfectly acceptable topic for a 7 year old, TWOC and a near death experiance, not.

Totally need to find all my awful childhood stories, spruce them up and use them in my legacy

Played since original 'The Sims'. Spend my life working, playing and lurking around here, posting way too much.

@Jenn---I hope the kid gets to feeling better soon. Being sick is no fun.

I have tons of old writing, and I still have it all. I like to look through it every once in a while, it chronicles my growth as a writer, lol That, and I had pretty decent ideas, just my writing was juvenile, imagine! Most of it was Fantasy fiction with elves, gryphons and the like. That is still my preferred writing subject.

If the electric went out, I would probably read (I own hundreds of books, lots to choose from, lol), write on one of my myriads of stories (yes, I still use pen and paper, I'm old school, :P) and/or play board/card games with my kids. Apples to Apples is a favorite, along with Farkle, Uno, Clue, Monopoly, etc.

I am about half way through writing my next Kahekili chapter. If I'm lucky, I may even get it posted this weekend, lol I'm having a blast---really Alder is too much fun to write for. :D

There's almost no way that the disco zombie story (or its two sequels featuring their undead '70s-era Elvis impersonator leader and his henchman with, to quote kid me, "four sharp pointy things for fingers and a swiss army knife for a thumb") still exist, given that they were written on miscellaneous bits of paper at the turn of the millennium. But there's probably still some scope for including them in a sim story as a one-off gag...

And don't worry, near-death experiences are probably far more normal as a topic for 7-year-olds to write about than you'd think. It's always been my view that the popular notion of sweet, innocent children is, was and always has been both incredibly patronizing to kids and completely and utterly wrong. Kids frequently love scary, gruesome things and stories about cartoonish misfortunes occurring. :P

I've always had a tendency to write about war and other bad things. Not sure how normal that is for a kid XD. The aforementioned KILL EVERYONE OFF AND REVIVE 'EM WITH A SEQUAL shitfest was about a war breaking our because Sephiroth teamed up with Shinra because I hadn't gotten beyond disc one of the game and aaahhvfshdfgjskghjskghhkjgdjkgd 14 YEAR OLD BH. STOP. PLEASE.

Also I have a QUALITY PARENTING update.

Stink is fine, thanks. His temp broke and it's just slightly elevated at 99.8 and the throat swelling is all but gone. I'm going to scratch out Strep and pencil in allergies. My random legacy took another wacky turn, so there are two babies expected within minutes of each other.

NFS (Need for Speed) World is a fairly new online racing game. Me and the old man were racing each other all night. Stink has been playing racing it on his computer when his energy recharges.

The cursed disco ball sounds amazing.

I heard on the news that solar flares are getting bad (we're near the end of the solar cycle, so they're supposed to be, don't worry) and may knock out electric. My first thought was 'I'd be fine for a while. I'm got full battery on my laptop, phone and tablet, so I could just go online and- OMG! If there's no electric, there's no internet! OMG! NOOOOO!!!' like, literally like that... I actually don't think I could live without the internet. It's so bad, isn't it?

So, this brings up a new off-topic question:
If there was a total blackout, no electric anywhere in the world, what would you do?

Meh, got back from running a cub sleepover 3pm today - we had no internet or phones & they had lots of fun anyway (ok, we had electric this time, but we don't always at these things)

Fun things to do include building campfires, singing songs, cooking on said fires...

I keep forgetting that Americans use farenheit. 99.8C is 0.2 degrees below boiling. I was very worried.

I hadn't thought of going outside in a blackout... Campfires and marshmallows. Yum.

Its awful.

1.45: Don't Waste a Moment

So many goodbyes in this chapter, some you will be glad for, others may bring a tear to the eye.

I actually published it a couple days ago, thank you to those of you who already found it and commented <3

I considered it a bonus chapter when I read 1.44.

"Oooh, Margaret has a new chapter in her sig! *Reads* FUCK YEAH THERE'S ANOTHER ONE *READS*"

Also damn you. In the nicest possible way, Goddamn you. I want to play a game in the same sort of era.

I also want to play my own legacy some more.

I also want to play my alchemy business save.

...And Aurora Skies.

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT I HAVE TOO MANY SAVES AND I WANT MORE.

So I have one more chapter left that I shot all the scenes for, and then I'm going to need to shoot a prom. I need all ya'll's(yes, I can make that contraction possessive, because I say so that's why) help trying to name the theme, because I'm drawing a blank. It takes place on Snowflake Day, but because seasons are years long in my game it doesn't make sense for them to theme it "winter wonderland." That's too general. The best I can come up with is "Snowflake Shindig," but that sounds like something Malcolm Reynolds would call it, and I don't think the internet is ready for that particular cross-over. Any ideas?

@Jenn---I'm glad Stink is feeling better.

@Tigger---the highschools here have a winter dance that they call the Snowflake Ball. Maybe something like that?

On other news, Spring has taken up a hazardous pass time since her adult birthday. She loves ranting about death---and Death has his eye on her. Yikes!

Hey, It's taken me long enough, but here is Max Hawksquill, as requested by Nirar.

I finally actually got to play in my legacy save today. I know how you feel, BH, I have way too many and I keep adding more.

And here's a bonus shot of Delaney.

So I found tumblr. I tried my damn hardest to get away but still wasted 4 hours there before managing to take the last two pics for my chapter.

Yep. I'm saved. Gorgeous sims have saved me from the evil black hole that is tumblr.

Yeah, they're 8 to 10/11, it was great fun although quite tiring!

Unfortunately when I got home & got my game up I discovered that somehow I'd lost my entire legacy family inventory (including lots of photos, nectar, plants, paintings etc) I think I backed up my save in my previous world so I'm going to have to see if I can rescue them from that...
