I just re-installed sims 2 on my computer and everything seem to be working fine, apart from when I create new sims they have writing all over them like the picture attached.

Does anyone have the solution for this?

Thanks very much.

Is that a Maxis outfit and skin? If so, that is one sign that your Objects.package has gotten corrupt.

You don't necessarily need to reinstall. Replacing the Objects package with a properly patched backup copy should work. Unfortunately the one on the disc isn't necessarily properly patched. I don't know if it would work if you copy that over and then patch the game again. It seems to me as though it should, but EA is known for sloppy programming.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

Yes, I believe that it should be OK to copy the object.package from disk, then patch the game again. Most patchers will just skip files which are already updated, and do the patch on that one file.

Can anyone verify that this works?
