Hello,

I think I have done a silly thing to my game. My game once I clicked on the launcher button has always been slow to load. I have put that down to the amount of cc in my game lol. I thought I would take out the sims3packs and use Delphy's multi installer and change them all to packages and then put them into the mods folder. Thought this would solve everything.. nope . I have been through all of the instructions, deleted caches, removed cc etc still wont load. I have all expansions and stuff packs including the sweet treats one

I have managed to load the game lol helps if u click on the right expansion pack to start the game without the launcher. All is running ok atm without cc but I just want to know if I should have changed all my sims3packs to packages as I might have converted ones I shouldnt have ?

Too many package files can cause lag. There are things you can do about that. http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...ackage_File_Lag

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

It looks like your running windows default driver for your graphic card, you should install manufactors or AMD's driver, although it's working card do not run at full capacity.

You can get AMD's latest drivers here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownlo...iw_vista32.aspx
Click on the Catalyst Software Suite link, it's a self extracting exe file, which will install the drivers.

Regarding sims3packs, the only things you shouldn't convert are lots (can be converted but it's experimental), sims (same as lots), worlds, patterns made in Create-A-Pattern, counters, and Store stuff.

Converting any of these won't break your game, but it will break those particular CC items, and converted Store stuff can be a cause of serious loading lag (see Ghost's link).

Big thank you to all who replied. Have downloaded the drivers and game is running soo much better, even with a million trillion cc in it lol. Will in future use dashboad etc to keep my game clean. It is usually sims3packs from other sites that muck things up .

cheers
