I was just wondering how I can bring home the college NPC's that my sims are dating?

I tried moving them in but the interaction dissapears just before they are going to ask.
I should probably mention that I have 4 kontrollable sims in an 8 sims dorm.

Do I have a bug and/or is there another way to do this?

My sim just married her college sweetheart. Had to wait until she graduated, moved her back to the old neighborhood then called him on the phone to visit. When he came to visit, she asked him to move in. He immediately aged from a young adult to an adult and moved in to the house with her.

When I wanted to move in my college Sim's girlfriend, I moved him out of the dorm and into his own house. (In order to do this without using the kaching cheat, I sold a few items from the dorm first.) Once he was in his own house, I gave him a telephone and then directed him to invite over his girlfriend. When she arrived, the Propose ... Move In option was available. I moved her in, and then the pair of them moved back to his original dorm. A new set of NPC students moved in with them.

The girlfriend, incidentally, was now at the very start of her college life, and the boyfriend was not - so he ended up leaving college before her, and had to wait patiently in the Family Bin for her to join him later.
