Default WCIF a mod that allows a sim to have 2 jobs?
Hello hello!

I'm looking for a mod or a hack that will allow my sims to have two jobs. I've done a fair bit of google searches but haven't seen anything. If you have any suggestions please post them; I already know about painting/writing and selling the supplies for money. But I'm specifically interested in a multple-jobs type download.

I am also looking for a hack/mod that allows more than two kids to play in games such as cops and robbers, tag, or any of the other games. This is inspired my my thread in the general forum. (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=515831)

I've included this second search in this thread because both hacks alter the lifestyle of a sim.

Take the Hard Hat Challenge. A relatively quick challenge designed to be added into almost any established hood.

Going to give this a bump and update. I'm now in the position of looking for another hack in addition to this one.

I have never seen a mod that will allow more than 1 job at a time.

And for your other one you have a tread for that already http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=515831

Some actives allow more than 1 and some don't and I have not seen a mod for this either.

I've found a way for a non-playable sim to have two jobs , but I'm reasonably sure that's not what you're after or I'd have mentioned it before. You can hire an npc sim ( a true npc , such as a maid , gardener , bartender , etc -not a townie, downtownie) to work at a playable owned OFB business. The service npc will work at the business and still show up to garden , clean , etc at the lots they have been hired to do so for. So Kaylynn Langerak can continue to clean the Pleasant's house and still work as a salesperson at a player owned business , Amy Jones can wait tables at a player owned restaurant and still flick the paper in the morning etc. If they are made manager , they will of course be controllable during that time as well. Service npc's ( if made controllable) are listed as unemployed , so this is just taking advantage of some dubious coding by EA. One important thing to note , a service npc that has been also hired to work at an OFB playable owned business will only show up to work when you visit that lot as the owner. They will not show up when you visit the business as a playable that does not own that business. So hiring a service npc as your sole cook , cashier etc isn't a very good idea. Hiring them ( as one of several) salespeople , waitresses/waiters is fine. Just like any other service npc , if you move them in to a playables house , they lose their service npc function/job.

Wouldn't the pension be cancelled when you have them take a job? From how it looks in game it looks to me like pension is a job, it just has no work hours.

If you can set your Sim to retire then if they get another job they will still the pension.

Good to know, thanks Might use that at some point as a sort of "If you agree to let us fire you, you get money"-kind of deal.

I don't think it's possible to get two jobs at once. If you want them to have two jobs unofficially you can have them do gardening/craft/paint/build at home and sell that and make them work at a career job. You could always build a little side house to simulate them going to work at the garden/craft/studio store and then have them go to work if you are looking for the two job aspect. I know that those things tire the sims out. Not sure what your angle for two jobs are but that's the only thing I can think of, that's the only things I can think of the would increase the income coming in a home for one sim.

There's also OFB and community lot time. That way the Sim is gone for the duration of the "second job". Downside is you have to play them.

In a hypothetical world where we had a modder with the skillset and the time to try, I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to convert the school mods to be able to apply for adults, so that you could give them school and a job, just like teens. It wouldn't be two jobs per say, but one could pretend that they are off at a job, and give them money manually. I doubt anyone will ever try it, but it's interesting to think about.

The only sim in my game who kind of has two jobs is my teacher. She is a maxis career teacher, but she is also a primary school teacher at my prep school. Every day when school starts she appears on my school lot with the kids and I have her work there, then when I play her house she goes off to work as a highschool teacher in the education career track. There is no reason why I couldn't give her a different Maxis career though. Not that this will show up under career, there is no mod to allow two jobs on the panel.
