Wow - I've never heard that at all in game. Which version of the game do you have. Don't like it BTW, but music's a very personal thing.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

@maxon @Noa1500 Ooo! I love that one!! Then again, I love all music. Haha! Anyways.. you can find it under stero under settings. I found it originally when I was making a custom station.

I love all the Sims 2 music. But I still wonder- what everyone's personal favorite is?

Go Betty Go .... Very Very Rich Town. I've liked it from the beginning, back when I got Uni in 2006. I'd even buy a non-Simlish version off iTunes or Amazon or Go Betty Go's site, if they offered it. Unfortunately, they do not.

I like about 2/3 of the music in the game. Some genres and particular songs in a genre aren't my style. But overall, the Sims 2 is pretty sound musically. There are CDs from my favorite artists where I don't like 1/3 of the songs!

Thanks to ALL free-site creators, admins and mods.

This'un. I dunno, I like the ba-ba-ba-ba-ba's. Even though I play Sims 2 a lot, going through the music to find that song made me feel so nostalgic because I've had the game music turned off for so long.

Ooh, this one, this one!!! I love hearing it when creating sims, and there's something so quirky and fun about it. It makes me happy every time

I think build2 & build5 from the Sims 1 are beautiful. They were renamed to A Plangent Sough & Celestial Bungalow in the Sims 2.

The Simlish cover of Pressure by Paramore. I think it was only on the PS2 version.

Oh my....that takes me back....

I have to admit I'm one of those people who hate Sims 1 music. The vocalizing....please make it stop.....

Sims 2 music however? I loved it!

Back then I even invented Simlish bands/singers for them and created them in CAS Those were the days....

Because of the simlish singing I had mondegreens (hisheard lyrics) for most of them and a theory what each song was about.

Among my favorite songs where the three "Pop" songs from the base game:

Chocolate:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-kPWGfF5UU
The singer seemed to sing at one point "A lonely/lovely day" so I decided the song was about her having a relaxing "me" day at home, eating chocolate. In my fanon it was sung by a bubbly girl band.

360:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH1oCP2K-Lc
is easily the most uplifting and I kept hearing things like "I'm even now" "I like to jump" and "mazel toph!" Combined with the word 360=360 degrees=open sky(my association) somebody who has a long, dark chapter of his life behind them and now is back in the sun?
It was a song by a band who had it's roots in country with only their latest releases more "Pop"-esque.

and Hero:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EFQqLstgnc
seemed quite dark and I kept mishearing "just want to get out in time, just want to safe my life" someone who acted selfish in a disaster situation but in doing so ended up saving others by chance and was seen as a hero?
It was sung by the latest winner of "Star Search: Sim City"

....so says the Phoenix! ♥ Receptacle Refugee ♥

I also like the song on the New Wave station that goes "whoah whoah whoah-oh-oh whoah whoah whoah-oh-oh"

I personally dislike the Salsa music, so I disabled all the tracks and filled the Salsa folder with podcasts from BBC Radio 4. It's fun to watch sims dancing to the sound of Melvynn Bragg discussing the battle of Bosworth Field with some eminent historians.

It's an amazing song, but I have never heard it in the PC The Sims 2 which is a shame. I must however download it! :lovestruc

My all time favorite song from the Sims series in total is definitely Glabe Glarn, but for the Sims 2 games, I'd say it would have to be the simlish version of Jump

There was one song I discovered on one of my sims' radios the other day I quite liked as well. It sounded a bit like it could've been a simlish pastiche of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody but I've had no success in finding it in my audio options. If I do find it, I'll add that to my list, but for now I will just assume I'm going crazy.

EDIT: Fixed Jump's link. I realized my clipboard wasn't working too well, I guess.

This one - which is odd because I don't like country music sung in human languages It sounds really jolly though, and it amuses me when a gang of sims get up and start smustling to it.

You lied to meā€¦There is a Swansea!

The Simlish version of "Sway" by the Perishers on the College Rock station is pretty easy to listen to.

Going by what the Wiki calls them, "Mall Rat" from TS1 buy mode has a special place in my heart. It just feels so evocative of a sparkling world full of opportunity and hope -- not that I ever played worlds that stayed like that for long, but it is wonderfully optimistic when setting up the surroundings. I liked all the buy mode music for that reason, but "Mall Rat" is the best. Build mode music never had the same effect... The Magic Town music I also like, for the opposite reason -- it gave the proper effect of old spooky stuff. Still, "Mall Rat" is the all-time winner. And now you can guess that my naff taste for comm lot speakers in TS2 is the shopping ones, can't you?

For TS2, my favourite is "Girl Next Door" from the pop station -- or as I call it, "Anisa the Perfect Storm", because that's how the most catchy line stuck in my head before I knew what it was! I've never heard it in anything but Simlish, and am kind of afraid I wouldn't like it so much if I knew the meaning of the words. I do like the Simlish version of "Hot n Cold" now that I have AL, but I don't think that counts so much since I knew and liked it in English first -- though I first heard it in the game as a diegetic soundtrack for a literal catfight thanks to a radio having been left on , which was awesome.

While I couldn't really care less about the BUY mode songs from TS1, I love the piano BUILD mode themes. I'd say my favorite has to be Frolicking Wind Dancer , but I'm lucky if I can even follow the sheet music for that one! The only one I can play decently is If You Really See Eurydice , so I'm also definitely fond of that one.

As far as TS2 originals go, I like the Big Band and Salsa stations, but Very Very Rich Town from UNI is fantastic.
