Oh help, help, Two of the houses I have downloaded, in to the strange neighborhood are doing the following: they both have flashing blue ground (on the lot outside of the actual house) The flashing of this blue is so unpleasant causing me not to play the houses, and I soo love them, one of them is the Moon house of Loverats, cant remember whos the other one is. Then while I was in the house, a custom made sim came to visit and his specs where also flashing (on and off) this same blue??? If anyone knows how to get rid of this I would appreciate it. Many thanks FunkelStein |

I think this is caused by custom object colors used when you don't have the color enabler package installed. |

Oops. Sorry. I should have added that if you remove the custom color by redoing the color with a maxis made one that you shouldn't have any more problem. Either that or install the color enabler package. |

inkuryakin is right. It's custom content that isn't compatible with University. If you re-color it with a Maxis-made texture it may fix it. |

i have deleted alot of recolors since they flash blue..i have CEP installed and most have been custom objects that flash blue.(some however seem to be origional ,axis itmes, which seems weird, unless there actually just the origional mesh) Seems like such a shame so many of them not working after all the downloading ect |

Thanks, that is wierd, and the wierdest part is that they work fine for other people. But get a load of this I forgot! to load CEP back after installing University, this could be my problem so I'll give it a bash now. thanks again for the help. |

Oh well that didn't work, still flashing. The only thing I know how to re-color is my hair. think I might just bull-doze these houses. But thanks for the help and input, this is how I learn stuff real quick. |

The blue flashing is just an item that is not compatible with the EP, assuming you have the most current CEP. You should not have to bulldoze anything. Just cover the ground with another terrain and delete anything that doesn't show up properly. |

I have had the same thing happen. I will try to replace it with Maxis terrains too! Somehow I don't think this solves the whole problem as I have tried to do that before. You never know, I get confused. |

It's not just a problem with the EP. I don't have the EP and have had flashing blue many times. I probably have this all confused but I think it's a duplicate of the GUID that causes this and that you need to remove any duplicates to correct the problem. Very often I will d/l something and lose a handful of things that were previously working perfectly to The Blue Flash. I try to go back and delete whatever I just downloaded. |

Just use your ground cover tool and regrass the blue ground. That's all I did to get it back to normal. "S" V^^^^V Quote:

I have the same problem. I have University, updated CEP, my previously lovely terrain is flashing black and blue. It does not cover with more ground cover, but will cover with floor tiles. I now have now replaced with green glass tiles and blue glass water tiles instead. This problem has only happened in the last two weeks. I hope someone can help. Thanks. |

I have had this problem with one of my lots. I tried.... deleting the outdoor objects replacing all terrain with maxis even regrading the terrain. Nothing worked and I had to delete the lot. Also I had blue flashing in the interior as well. I have University I think at one point I did not have color enabler installed. Could this be the culprit? I have a NVIDIA GE force graphics card |
