I've been chipping away at this project on and off for a few months now and I've hunked my way into the game with it, but it's just not sitting quite right. This is the second accessory I've made and I have a hard time with getting the dds to save the textures right. I can get the textures that come with the game in customizing the item mode in CAS so that much is at least relatively acceptable even if its not idea, but can anyone try this out and point me in the right direction?
I hope this is an easy way to get the files, they're simspacks I uploaded to my google drive. If anyone needs any additional files or resources I didn't include please ask. I appreciate any tips at all
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1t...0A4JE0HjV0LCEy2 - the horns, the texture in the photo is a sims vanilla texture that I applied in CAS and tried to match to his skin tone. The shadows sit kinda funny but overall I'm mostly pleased with it. Horns are compatible with hat sliders.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1k...7zF8-yYL6VXLpWG - The chin piece. I like the way the vanilla textures sit on it, but the packaged texture confuses the stars out of me. I'm not really sure what its trying to be. I may have somehow crammed the UV map into the wrong spot?? And it sits a little too deep into the face instead of nestling in the way I'd like it to. It's not meant to be an actual beard like with hair, it's meant to be a kind of antler-y sort of thing.
