Today is my 21st birthday and I got the Sims 2 University as a present, and well everything installs fine except, when it gets to this E:/Bin/TS2UPD.exe.
I am assuming it's the Sims 2 DVD Updater, and well i have perviously downloaded it off the site for my original Sims 2, so it could work better, i installed the one i downloaded before adding university, and it won't go, it still get's stuck there at 67%. I tried uninstalling the sims 2 and adding it back many times, it still won't work and i tried once with not using the installer i downloaded but what they game game with. I haven't tried re-installing it again yet, because i decided i needed advice, please does anyone know how to fix this or had this same problem, thank you for reading.

Uninstall the entire game, reboot. Install Sims 2 and do NOT apply the patch you downloaded a while back from Maxis' site. Now install University and it will patch your previous version itself!

Well with the original patch in it should bypass the installer all together if it was a recent patch. You said that you tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Did you remember to go into your hard drive and delete the ea games folder from there as well as the folder in your my documents folder before trying to reinstall.

If you want to save your game, back up saved sims, downloads, and neighborhoods. If you want to start fresh, there is no need to do this. Good luck!

I had this to, it will install you just have to wait a few hours mine took about 3 1/2 to install stuck at 60 something % and my computers new. Start instaling then go do something else, something that takes a looong time.
