If anyone knows if that is possible, (it should be, there are half square (diagonal) flowerbeds) i'd greatly appreciate help on the topic. I want to make tv's and such (anything) to go on a diagonal wall, even if the sims themselves sat at odd angles and looked at the things on the tv the wrong way. Just so i could actually USE the diagonal walls that maxis put into the game, honestly, i don't even see the point to do it halfway like they did. It was a nice START but....just....it should have been left out unless they were fully functional. Mike |

Some objects are designed to be able to go on diagonal walls - windows and doors most noticeably. To make objects that natively join with diagonal walls, you actually have to make two versions of the object, one for straight and one for diagonal. For things like TVs, this shouldn't really be an option. If you have Uni installed, you can rotate objects 45 degrees using boolprop, so they can line up along the diagonal walls. If you don't have uni, there is an object here which allows you to rotate things - I believe it is a bamboo plant.

i know a cheat that you can enter that lets you put stuff on a 45 degree angle, and you have to put move_objects on cheat on too. the cheat that lets you put stuff diagonally is boolprop allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true. if you have the "copy""cut""paste" buttons on you keybord, copy the boolprop cheat, and hit paste in the cheat box. and if you don't your gonna have to write this down and type it in the cheat box yourself. Oh and if you didn't know already to open the cheat box you hold down ctrl +shift + C. ~Nicole |

Along with what Nicole said, the ctrl+c =copy, ctrl+x=cut, ctrl+v=paste. Also works with paint programs and ingame for repeating the (cough) money cheat.. lol xts |

you may need yet another cheat boolProp snapObjectsToGrid [true/false] to place objects diagonally attaching to the walls. http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?p=1090788 Besides those 2 build mode objects, curtains can be another choice for object-base or references. |
