I feel bad about starting a new thread but my last one was closed before my problem was solved.. sorry :$

Anyway, my problem is that veronaville refuses to load. It will go into the neighborhood but then no house will load. No matter which one I click it just sits there on the loading screen no matter how long I wait. I don't have this problem with any other neighborhood, and it's strange because ( have NOTHING custom in this one. I haven't even gotten to play it yet because it won't load. I don't understand what's going on..

I had a few strange files in my downloads folder, so I deleted them but it didn’t fix it. I have no idea what could be causing this.

That happened to me before when i tried to enter a lot,do you have University Ep?
Because if you do,maybe you have the same problem that i used to have.
This problem happens because there are some third party thins(things you downloaded like:hair meshes,furniture,recolors...etc)that are not University compatible. And that's why the game messes up.When you download something,be sure that is University Compatible. If the download doesn't say that is University Compatible, well it's better that you don't download it!.

I don't have Hacks but i know that the hacks can really mess up your game!(That's why i don't download any hacks ).Well i suggest you to Uninstall your game and install it again, yes i know that it's sad but the game already have an error,so,if you back up your Users data file, that won't be any helpful, because the error is still there. And if you just delete the things that you think are making the problem that won't work too!(That's why you still have the problem )

So uninstall your game, insatll it again and if you want, download things again but be sure it says University Compatible(if you have Uni). And i suggest you to don't download any hacks again.

Yes it's sad to lose all of your houses,Sims...etc.(That happened to me :weep: )but now i have a faster game and i can enter again to any lot!.
Oh!And if you use cheats like Boolprop!,be careful because boolprop can mess up with your game too.But this doesn't mean that you can't use boolprop, just if a pop-up window appears telling you to click one of this three options: Delete,Reset,Cancel, just click Reset!Don't click Delete or Cancel!

Well maybe this is your problem solution as i told you,i used to have the same problem but the difference is that that happened to me when i tried to enter to any Lot!

Good Luck Callistra!

Well hope this help you!
Have a Nice Day and Happy Simming! :howdy:

If it was a download it should effect all of my lots and not just one. it means there should be something inside that lot.. but I didn't PUT anything inside that lot *sigh*

Does anyone know if I just replace that one lot with a previous backup that should work maybe?

Well when i tried to enter any lot i mean any lot even if it was empty!
And sometimes this problem happened to me when i tried to enter in :Create a new Sim!.

And as i told you,if you back up your Users datas that won't help, because the problem will be there again!´For example:if you back up your users datas, uninstall the game, install it again and put your old users datas again in your game, you will have the same problem that's why you have to uninstall your game, install it again and download things that are University Compatible and things that you are sure that they won't mess up with your game.

Well hope this help you! :D

After several hours of attempts, I finally figured out that this: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.p...77&page=1&pp=25 was what was messing up my game. It's been removed and works fine now.

To any mod who reads this, it would be really nice if maybe there could be something put in place about unfinished and abandoned customs being left open.. Maybe giving X amount of time for them to at least show some effort towards completion. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's had game issues because of that career, seeing the number of people who have downloaded it.

There is a thread for abandoned or unfinished careers, in the same section:

http://www.modthesims2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=229

Now that you found the culprit, I suggest you post in that thread the problem you've been having so the creator or whoever else is working on that career can see it.
