Just bought the game today along with University expansion.
I downloaded some great new hair styles including the meshes and extracted them to the downloads folder but i can't see them when i load game up and go to create a sim.
Is there something else i have to do first or should they just appear in the hair section?

Thanks.

I'm not too sure why that is... Maybe something is different with the sims university? I can't be too sure since I don't have sims university or know anyone that has it.

Any info would be great.

Have you gone into game options(in your game) and made sure, show custom content is checked? If not your downloads won't show in your game.

Not positive, but I think the bodyshop downloads would be EP ready.

Custom hair will be in the * mark, not in the four Maxis color areas.

Hair files, like clothing and other genetics, can't be placed in SUB-folders! So make sure they went directly into your "downloads" folder and not into another folder IN the downloads folder. Some programs you use to unzip will stick everything into another yellow folder so just look and if they are, just drag them out into "downloads" folder. Make sure you have no zip or rar files in there anywhere!

I'm glad you bought a legal copy of the game finally. Make sure to register it with EA on the official sims2 site so that if you encounter problems later, they can help you. Hopefully that link Daysies posted will help you with your problem.
