As title says everytime I try to open body shop, it loads 25% then crashes with the error "The program has crashed. It will now terminate.". Its probably because I have so many custom files but I can't be sure. Anyone know how I might correct this?

I just think we should cook and eat all the PETA people.

How do I check if their bad packages? I used Clean Installer and removed the duplicate files but there were a few pink files left that I didn't see a the duplicate file. I have over 3k files. is that enough to cause a crash?

I don't know exactly if there is a file limit and what limit it can be...
I'm not much experienced with clothing, but SimPE has a "Scan Folder" function that may be useful. Only, be prepared to wait a little, since 3000 files are a lot!
As far as I know, there is no tool that can fully check the integrity of the packages, so, if you can't solve elseway, you should do the job by hand: move out half of the files and fire up Body Shop. If it loads, the faulty packages are on the other half. Go on like this, always splitting in two the group that prevent BS to load.

I would delete some files that are usless and do nothing and use the Sims 2 Clean Installer for any unwanted hacks.

I have 5,200 files in SavedSims and it's never crashed on me during load. You probably have a bad file in there somewhere. Like the others have suggested, it's best that you load up a few at a time. Or if you remember the date of the last time it worked, then you can remove all files after that date and put them back a few at a time. Maybe you will find the culprit that way.

If you have ever used sim surgery in SimPE and exported any sims to Bodyshop you need to remove them from your Savedsims folder. They will be named N???_User????? (? will be a number)

Well I did have a savedsim from SimPe. I deleted the file and tried again and it loaded. Guess its fixed but i've had things work once then break again.
