This may seem simple to some, and I'm sure many of you have already figured this out, but for those of us who didn't think of or hit on the solution, watching those annoying and time-consuming neighborhood flyby movies can get highly frustrating. An exhaustive internet search returned absolutely no results for this, so I'm betting that there are quite a number of people who'd like to know how to do this.

Anyway, on with the simple solution:
When the game first starts and you're at the "Choose a Neighborhood" screen, place your mouse cursor in one of the boxes where the name of the neighborhood is displayed and either give the neighborhood a new name, or just change a few letters of the name. That's all there is to it!

Most of us just click the mouse when the fly-by starts.

Isn't there a an option in-game to disable this?

Not that I could find.
