Was asked very nicely how I make the arched walls I use whilst building some of my lots, so I did a tutorial for everyone!
Both in word format and html - packaged with winrar, so you'll need it to unpack...

The file with "files" in the title is the html..

Great Tutorial, I suspect you may have left out a crucial step though which is... turning of the boolprop cheat before you level the hill on the ground. If you don't it will pull the whole arch back down I believe.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial Jonesi. When I get SIMbucks back up and all, could I have your permission to put this in the tutorial section. You would get full credit and a link to the rest of your downloads. I am also going to put a link to MTS2 there. this place has been sooooooo helpful.

Hi Jonesi- I've been having a small problem at the end of this tutorial-

The arch goes up fine and I get here-

But when I delete the land mass underneath...

If I level the roof, then flatten the land, the arch inverts. I've followed the instructions carefully, but I can't work out what's going on- can you help?

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate

I missed this step out of the tutorial, forgot about it.....try turning the cheat off before you level the ground and it should work ok

This tutorial is the one where it finally all clicked for me how to do it! Thank you very much. Here is my grandest creation so far.

P.S. The tutorial never says exactly when to turn the constrainfloorelevation to true again, but I was able to figure it out with a little trial & error.

If you're having problems downloading at MTS2, then see the Site Issues forum. There's a sticky there for people who have downloading problems.

Can the arch be used for like a dinning room, not taking up two levels? I have an idea for my dining room, but I need an arch for the doorway thats big enough to see the whole room. So can this arch occupy only one level of one area of a house
