Is there any way to extract the walking animation and make a new object to where the sim walks a certain way to a certain point? It may sound a little confusing but I am attempting to create a "catwalk" walk to create a fashion show. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If by extracting the walking animation, you mean so you can view a existing one in a program like Milkshape and then alter it. I`m not sure what state the SimPE feature for this is in. I do know Quaxi started to work on it.

As for then being able to use this new animation on a sim, yes you can do that. The movement animations of a sim can be changed (and then changed back if needed), a example of this is the swimming pool. When a sim goes swimming its locomotion animations are changed to be ones of it swimming, and then when the sim gets out of the pool they are changed back to walking. I can't remember what the BHAV's are for changing these but first of all you would need to make the animations, if I remember correctly there are about 12 locomotion animations which are used when a sim moves, so you would need 12 new animations. They cover things like walking, stopping, turning etc.

I have a question. Like the pool, would it be possible to create an object or something like it that when in a certain area, the sims perform a certain way? Something along the lines of creating a tiled area like the pool.

It would probably be easier to make a clear wall and just wall off the catwalk.

the person who wrote that pool thing should do a cat walk animation. when they stop they pose. When they turn they pose, and then they turn. and when they watch the sky they pose while laying down. you should get the rest. All of the movements should be graceful!!!!! I would Rock!

A great catwalk animation, try this. Build a foundation 2 wide and 15 to 20 squares long with stairs at each end. Put a chair on the ground near the stairs. Now sit a boyfriend of a romance sim in the chair. At the other end, stage your romance sim with 'go here'. Then click 'kiss' on the boyfriend and watch her walk.

Actually, you can just get Squidge's 'All sims walk sexy' mod and get your sims to walk.

Otherwise, those modders (I don't mod!) can create a new option in the pie menu where 'Go here' is and add the animation from Squidge's mod and call it 'Catwalk here'. Just a suggestion!

Erm... here's a REALLY easy way... enter the boolprop cheat, shift click stairs (not all stairs work... check for ones that do) and select "Sexy." That sim will now walk like they're a model any place you tell them to.
If you really want an item... the Walkstyle and Facial Animation changer is perfect. I have it, but I can't seem to find where I got it from.. sorry.
