Sims cannot marry and newborn babies disappear

I have been having problems every since a Sim died on my family's lot. The particular Sims will not marry and their newborn baby disappeared when I saved the game. They have a memory for the baby that states $Subject! entered family with a blank icon. Also when I select propose Marriage it shows the rings over their heads and in their memories but does not change in the interaction bin. It still has them listed as engaged.

I thought this was just a silly error so I went to another family and who was married and expecting a child. The baby also disappeared with the same information in their memories.

Any help would be apprepriated.

Have you installed any hacks? It might be a good idea to try deleting them. Don't knopw if you already have or anything but just tryin to help :)

No I don't have any hacks. I tried using the Sims2pack Clean Install. None of my downloads came up with any errors either. It all started when the Sim from another lot died in their driveway.

Is the tombstone still there?

No, it gave the sim the option to move it. I had it moved to Pleasantville and then had the family that it was associated with take to their lot. Where it is now.

Did you by any chance move your sims to different towns. By moving them out into the housing lots? :)

Try moving them ount and back in.

No I didn't move my sims from different towns.

I will try moving my sims out and back in again to see if this helps.

I moved my sims out and back in and they still will not marry. The newborn baby is still not showing and is still in their memories. I'm about to give up and reinstall the game because another sim family on a different lot had their newborn baby disappear, too. I must a corrupt file somewhere. Ugghhh!!! I hate when this happens especially when you raised the sims since birth.

I tried to delete the groups.cache that was suggested on another thread which did not work. What did happen is that I had the male sim propose to the female sim. The male sime said his vows and the female sim got stuck with her icon saying waiting to be proposed to. :flame:
