When i play the sims i hate it when you build a perfectly perfect neighborhood, and you can't see during your gameplay!!!!
It really just annoys me. It makes it seem less realistic, ajnd more isolated.
I want to have a better look game and this would make it a reality.
If this is in one of the expansion packs please tell me because all i have is nightlife and university..Don't make fun of me! Anyway IF ANY OF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME PLEASE TELL ME. oh and no ii do not want anyone to tell me to put more than one house on a lot!!!! gosh*
thanks for helping if you do.
Thanks*

You can turn on to see neighbors in your game options. :)

Like this (not the options I've circled, but the Lot View options- neighbours on):

ryanatthebass, those options for neighbors are enabled in later expansion packs. I believe NL had it at first, and then OfB included it also (or it could just be an OfB thing... I'm easily confused). If you don't have one of those EPs (which your profile says you don't) you won't have those options under the "gears" icon in your game options.

If they aren't showing up on their own, its because your graphics card needs to be updated. TS2 will automatically set its settings to what runs best on your computer.

O.o
TS2 will automatically set its settings to the lowest settings when you install an EP, not the "best" settings. If your graphics card isn't capable of running certain functions (like mine can't do antialiasing) those options will be greyed out, but, um, when I install new EPs, my settings all get set to lowest, even though I can run the game fine on high detail settings. That's just the way EP installs work, and has nothing to do with the power or updatedness of your graphics card.

The settings to use the custom content in NL are exactly as pictured in my screenshot; you can see there the 'enable custom content' and 'disable dialog' settings, as well as the options for the neighbourhood view.
