View Full Version : I can't get rid of a floating tile!

When I was making my big house on a lot, I had a smaller house for the family to live in while they worked and saved up cash to build the new house.
Problem is, I deleted all of the small house, but there's a floating tile I can't get rid of. I tried putting a foundation under it and re-deleting, putting a carpet on it and deleting, and nothing.
Here's a pic: www.redeemedlife.org/misc/FloatingTile.jpg
I can't even get rid of it with the boolprop moveobjects on cheat running.

I get this problem every now and then have usually have to just work around it. The last time I posted this question I believe Covidophile (sorry if I misspelled it) suggested placing a door on it since doors automatically make their own tile and then deleting it that way. See if that works and then move this over to the build section where the builders will see it. I'm positive Niol, Patul, Bluetexasbonnie, and others will have some suggestions for you.

Try using the moveobjects on cheat, not the boolprop moveobjects on... I don't think it'll work, though. Try raising the land under it, or lowering it, or flattening or something like that.
Have you got an account on thesims2.com? If so, upload that house to the exchange so people can try to do it for you.

Someone had the same problem recently. This (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=195166) thread has two solutions and one of them worked but he didn't say which one. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

That looks like it might be part of a deck or foundation. Try using those to delete it.

I had this problem with one of my lots. I tried everything I could think of up to now and it appears that the solution above (the stuck object remover) is the way to go.
But I placed the garden gnome up there and it is very satisfying to watch visitors have a fit because they can't get to it.

Tried the door, and it didn't quite work.
I'll try the program next...
