I know how to repositorize my own objects to my own objects.... but can't figure out how to make a maxi's item the repository item.... If I clone it the material definitions etc. have my name and the date thingy in it.... I'm asking specifically for these cabinets I made to match the maxis counters to be linked so peoples recolors could be an option for the cabinet colors....

If anyone skilled is motivated to, I'd love it if you just took one of the cabinets and make it a slave for me :lovestruc , and then I can clone the slave and redo all the other cabinets... and yep I'll have to re-uvmap but thats no biggie...

I've been meaning to write a new tutorial on that, but, until then, you can use Procedure B in this (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=42014) tutorial by Numenor.

That's the one I learned with. One thing you will want is, depending on what 3d program you are using/uv mapping program, get a bmp of the texture for the masix item you are using as well. Makes lining up stuff a good bit easier.

Thanks for the replies you guy :), I'm slowly - very slowly - working my way thru that tutorial... decided not to start off doing it with those cabinets, though, I'm trying with some simpler things first :)

That will make it easier to know what you are looking for. Once you know, those cupboards will be much less threatening.
