Multiple chimneys that can't be moved

Hi. This happens whenever I download a house where a fireplace is placed inside as opposed to part of it being outside of the house--I end up with multiple chimneys that stack on top of each other all the way past the roof. I can move the base fireplace (it's usually on the first floor) but on every floor beyond the first, I'm stuck with the chimneys. I tried using the move objects cheat but it says "Can't pick up." Here are pictures to show what I mean.

Another weird thing about it is that in the neighborhood view, unlike the other houses where there are "normal" chimneys, the chimneys don't show up.
