PlantSim Toddler water needs

I have found some really adorable toddler pools here on MTS2 and on Echo's site. Supposedly Echo's are the base for the others and they do work to raise fun for any toddler.

They don't, however, help raise a Plantsim toddler's water needs. Adult Plantsims can go swimming and that raises their water. All a toddler can do for itself is eat flowers, or wait for a rainstorm for it's puddles.

Is there a way to modify these pools to make them work for toddler Plantsims? I am new to modding, but reasonably familiar with SimPE.

Yep, that'd be a good start. ;) It's not a change I was planning to make, but I'd be delighted if you wanted to give it a shot. Have you tried anything with BHAVs before? I don't think it's likely to be a very difficult change, but then I haven't looked at the pools for four (?) years now and I've never looked at plantsim needs... ;)

The only modding I have done is to change some of the BCON for some beds. Like I said I'm really new at modding, but willing to learn more. I have tried reading a few tutorials but I'm a very visual learner and have trouble picking things up by only reading.

I have done a little bit of poking around SimPE. I did the beginers tutorial on BHAVs and that went well. I also saw that in the motives, Water and Hygene are connected. So what would affect Hygene in regular Sims would affect Water in Plantsims.

That is about as far as I have been able to get on my own. I don't know enough about Operands and the programming values to know how to make the changes I want. I guess Im too much of a noob.

Actually my sailboat does increase water/hygiene. I hadn't tested with a plant sims, but your statement made me go check so I did test it with a plant sims and it does increase their water. My toddler shower will also do the same.

That's great! Glad to know that it can be done! Thanks bunches! And don't worry I will be continuing to poke around and find tutorials that don't confuse me too much :D!
