FEMALES
From Adult to Teen:
*Import a teen mesh without the morphs
*import the adult mesh with the morphs
*select the adult mesh and its morphs
*scale to 94%(Set scale options to origine instead of center of mass and fill in the % value in all 3 boxes, 0,94 that is))
*Fix the neck vertices and normals using Wes H normal and Date merge tool.(your using the original teen mesh as reference mesh here)
*delete the original teen mesh
*export

I normal drop the shoulders also back to teen size as i suspect necklesses and such wont fit the scaled mesh, but i forgot if this is only a issue on the females or both female and male.
The breast and thighs are a bit bigger then the Maxis teen

From Teen to adult:

*Import a adult mesh without the morphs
*import the teen mesh with the morphs
*select the teen mesh and its morphs
*scale to 1.064%(Set scale options to origine instead of center of mass and fill in the % value in all 3 boxes.)
*Fix the neck vertices and normals using Wes H normal and Date merge tool.(your using the original adult mesh as reference mesh here)
*delete the original adult mesh
*export

Lift the shoulders a little bit and make the lower neck a bit fatter if you like.
The breasts and thighs are a bit smaller then the original maxis adult.

MALES
The males are much easier, you only have to scale those and fix the neck.
You can also use those for the child meshes and vice versa.

Searching existing threads is quite helpful - "teen adult conversion". That's to go from teen to adult - teen to child/toddler, you'll mainly use the child/toddler mesh parts as using teen/adult mesh parts on them just looks creepy.

I did it, but then the arms show up as if they were like sticks. How do you smooth out the arms?

Could you please show a screenshot?
Sounds like they just haven't been scaled properly to me.

Something went wrong then.....looks like the skeleton is missing or corrupt wich i hardly can imagine.
Make sure you start with a correct mesh, if you want it to be a teen then start with a teen mesh to make sure you have the correct skeleton.

The method i described works perfect for fullbody meshes but with tops and bottoms you have to watch the comments(proper names) in the comment box.

No, the skeleton is correct, but I mean by that the arms look as if there were not enough vertices to make the arm "round" enough to look realistic. Same goes for the fingers.

picture ;)
I have no clue wat you mean, the hands\árms etc are identical for teens and adults so there should not be a problem.

Here's the pic. If you see closely the arms have an edge: it shows up extremely clearly on Bodyshop and in the game too. Is there a way to smooth it out?

Oh, thats cos you have autosmooth on.
You find it in the groups tab, untick it and start over ;)

Thanks bLURR! I wonder though, why would autosmooth actually make the arms look worse?

My understanding is that once you've used and saved in autosmooth, you've trashed your mesh. You'll have to open an earlier copy and do it over.

Yeah, but the neck fixing wasn't that hard. The only hard thing was that I had to fix up the shoulder a bit. :D

It smooth's out parts individual, like the arms, front and back body.
The lines you see are the seams were those parts join.
Take a look at the uvmap and you see.

Nah, you can fix it but its faster to reload a new mesh in this case.
