I cannot for the life of me get custom content into my game. I have followed every single instruction on this website and there is no change. It doesn't seem to show up on the intro screen under Custom Content. I've been trying for hours to get it to work. I'm pulling my hair out. :wtf:

There is almost no custom content yet for S3. Are you -sure- you're not trying to download S2 stuff? That won't work.

Have you downloaded and installed Delpy's Installer Monkey found here- http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=344611, or Pescados Frameworks - found here - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15184.0.html and extracted ONE of them to C: Program Files/Electronic Arts/Sims3 yet- if not you need to do so or CC that is not in Sims3Packs will not show up.

Also anything that is not in a TS3 Pack file will be in a .pkg file and will say SimPe if you have SimPe installed otherwise it will be a simple.pkg extension - and will not show up with a custom content logo which in TS3 -is a plumbob rather than an asterisk. You also have to delete, Scripts Cache, Compositor Cache, SimsCompositor Cache and CASPartCache to get Aikea Guineas Default Eyes, and Aikea Guinea, Peggy, or HystericalParoxysms default skin to show up in game.
It might help with patterns not in TS3 Pack files which are identified by the plumbob logo- if you save pictures of the patterns and read the overview section of the thread carefully to find out which CAST section they are installed in E.G HystericalParoxysms Retropop patterns are all in Abstract in CAST and Lethes Medieval Patterns are all in Fabrics.

I wish I could figure out how to MAKE custom content. It's driving me nuts. All I want to do is make two masks and it won't work T_T

As far as I know the textures and such available now is not labeled as custom content. I guess we're just tricking it in there. The only things that are labeled custom are the things you buy from the store, and they are the only things that show up in the launcher. Apart from houses I guess.

There are loads already. I have 20+ sim3packages and about 50 packages on the mod folder.

I know I had trouble finding patterns at first because they are not labeled as custom content. If you are looking under the CC filter in game it says you have none but they are there mixed in with the EA stuff.

The best thing to do is when you download patterns is to look and see if the creator says under which category to find them and make note of it. It is WAY easier to find them after that than having to look through each category :)

none of the CC content on here shows as CC. It just goes in the regular bins currently so it cna be hard to spot.
