My sim's boss died.. now what?

My sim in the military career had an excellent relationship with his boss.. until he died of old age. Now under the job panel it says that their relationship is 'horrifying'. Is that supposed to happen? Will he get a new boss or what?

It's pretty important that he keeps his job performance up. He's at level 9 and his lifetime goal is to reach the top of the miliary career. And he's also only 2 days away from being an elder!

Wow, that's never happened to any of my sims yet. Perhaps you should go visit his grave? Chat his ghost up, see if it affects their relationship.

A new boss should eventually be assigned, but with the EA story progression that might not be for a while. At least, in my experience, it always seemed to take ages.

As stariscool, mentioned the boss should be replaced, at some point. Just don't hold your breath. You may want to consider looking for an alternative Story Progression mod, though as EA Story Progression is fairly lame. The reason Awesome Mod, Indie Stone, and NRaas Story Progression, among others, are so popular.
