Hi ^^

Well... I was trying to create a dress that i saw in this photo:
http://thaislosso.wordpress.com/files/2008/03/dsc_3988.jpg

What is the problem:
the texture does not seem much to an outfit
and shine of the original costume is appearing and marking the new clothes
in short: the dress does not look like a dress

I wanna some tips about how to do the textures and how to disappear with that first clothes' shine

Another thing that i wanna know is... most of the hairstyles for download is straight... and i wanna do a curly hair... if necessary, I draw the model of hairstyles that i want... well, i don't know how to do a mesh por this type of hairstyle... to be honest I'm still new in this work with meshes... but i need this clothes and hairstyles for a project and i wanna some tips about this too

I hope I have been understandable ... my English is not the best

Thanks!

I advise you to post a picture of your custom clothe if you want more detailed help :D.

There are 5 types of textures in one piece of clothing. Overlay, multiplier, specular, normal map (bump map), and RGB mask. Overlay is unecessary depending on the type of clothe you want to make. However, the rest of the textures must be modified to attain a desirable effect. In your case, I think you've forgotten to edit the bump map, or the specular.

As for your second question. What kind of 'curl' do you want? There are plenty of curly hairs out there on the web. Also, if you are new to meshing/texturing, I strongly advise you not to try hair meshing, because it is one of the most difficult object to mesh in sims3.
