Ambitions traits missing/Sims aren't learning others' traits

All of the new traits that came with Ambitions and are not hidden aren't showing up in CAS or when children are born. Additionally, even after hours of interaction even Sims with the "Observant" lifetime reward don't seem to be learning others' traits. I've checked through here and in EA's help topics, but can't seem to find a solution. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

Do you have a mod that unlocks hidden traits? An outdated version of this mod causes Ambitions traits to not show up

Nope, no mods for traits at all.

I'm having the same problem with Ambition traits not being available, I’ve just installed AwesomeMod after seeing this post but I’ve still not had any luck fixing this issue.

Just to be sure, I configured AwesomeMod via the Configuration Tool [http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ts3/awesome/config.php] but didn’t have any luck finding a selectable element that restores the missing traits.

Any help with this would be fantastic, I really want those Ambitions Traits.

Actually scratch that, found another post that suggested it was an out-of-date 'lifetime rewards price mod'. I've removed it and all is back to normal
