Lost relationships after restarting?

Wondering if anyone else has this issue,
Whenever I restart my game all my relationships go back down to aquaintence [even my husband becomes a stranger and no longer a spouse]
but for some reason their memories stay [got married,had a kid,ect]
It's really frustrating

I had the same problem. but I had conflicting/not updated hacks in my game. Once I took those out and installed only new ones, it worked.

I just realized yesterday after starting my game that my sim lost ALL relationships, so he was back to knowing no one, even though he was introduced to several people. Does anyone know what mod might be causing it? I'm using most of Twallan's mods, but those are all updated and shouldn't be causing issues. It looks like this problem started [for most people] way back with WA, but I've never been affected by it until now... =(

Yeah, I have a lot of Twallan's mods and am not having this problem. Do you have any other mods, or anything else (not sure what else XD) that might affect relationships in the game?

I can't think for the life of me what I would have that would affect relationships, but I guess I'll have to go through my MODS folder very carefully and see what it could possibly be... Grrr. And everything was going so smoothly!

This is why I'm light on mods. You just never know what will be affected

I'm experiencing this same thing. It's funny to have memories of your sims husband/wife doing stuff together, and then a while later they're all "Who are you and what the heck are you doing in my bed?", twice.
The only mod I have though is the updated NoMosaic mod, genetics (hair etc.) shouldn't affect this as far as I know. Hmm, I should delve further into this.

I had this problem occur and I don't have Generations or even the patch.

So I looked further into it and I noticed that I actually still had a mod of two, removed those and everything is back to normal.
Suggestion; organize your mods folder after type, and separate mods from actual new content.

[EDIT] So my issue seems to be cleared up now, I'm not sure what did it specifically, but I replaced a few of Buzzler's mods with updated versions, the Scribbler, Moar Interactions, DigSite HotFix, and Box of Seeds.

I had some of Buzzler's mods, along with Box of Seeds.
There was also one for changing growing pace of vegetables etc. but I can't recall the name.

I also believe I had a writing pad.

So is the main problem mods? I believe I updated to the Latest Twallan mod. Although that was after one play with the un-updated one. Do you think I should just restart my town? Because they are STILL losing relationships even though Im sure I updated. Hm....
